2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumQuestion on Dem Convention coverage:
Several of the things I'd like to see /people I want to hear are between 5-6 pm.
How can I watch this? Coverage doesn't begin until later on MSNBC,
and CSPAN isn't doing it until 9 pm. Will CSPAN air ALL of it at that time?
I hope so.
But is there anyway to watch live?

getting ready to do that. Was hoping maybe some TV coverage somewhere though,
because hubby will be too tired from work to squeeze into the hard chairs in my
little office. We are addicted to our recliners in the evening, us old fogeys.

(2,097 posts)Just checked their website, and they indicate that they're covering it live on CSPAN-1, starting at 5 pm each day (with a 1-hour preview at 4:00 and about an hour of commentary and highlights starting at midnight). Here's a link to their schedule page:

That's why I was asking; I was trying to DVR Cspan
and also watch on MSNBC later.
But that Comcast guide can be very wrong; not updated or something.
Also, it seems quite often when I look at the cspan schedule on line, then
turn on the tv at the scheduled time, they've moved or removed whatever
they had originally planned. That's happened so often it drives me nuts.

(11,833 posts)I have Comcast and get C-Span as well. Unfortunately the C-Span listings aren't very accurate on Comcast. But indeed, C-Span does carry gavel to gavel coverage. I like it. I don't like the other channels that provide endless commentators. With C-Span, you feel more like you are there. Hope you enjoy watching. It will be good!

(40,416 posts)Coverage starts at 7:00 or 8:00, I think. But I'll tune in early just in case.
They have Shields and Brooks, which is at least tolerable, both being moderates, neither one of whom like Romney/Ryan very much. But, I miss Thomas Oliphant as the Dem on PBS.
At least there's no commercials on PBS.
No cable here. No broadband INet either.
