It doesn't matter whether you support Hillary, Bernie, or Martin.

Knowingly spreading out of context lies, misdirection, and other propaganda from racist, right wing hate sites doesn't help any of our candidates.

It only harms our Democracy.

Strong and unreserved agreement from me! Bluenorthwest Dec 2015 #2
I agree. We also have a problem here of some calling a video with a candidate's own words "lies". Scuba Dec 2015 #3

Driving traffic to those sites puts money in their pockets, and guess what they spend it on?

DUers are sleeping with the enemy when they link to racist right wing websites.

But reading the threads here shows that it does indeed need to be said; but also that saying it probably won't change anything.

Or call it out when their fellow supporters do it?

I got a whole big list of them on record as being pissed if right wing sources are used to post something true about him. But I'm skeptical they learned anything from the lesson.

Just as an example, a few months ago some woo poster (I can't say more than that because of alert police) -- right after Bernie announced, this person started spamming threads with oodles of anti-Hillary links. Actually, I think they spammed that way a lot and got lots of rah rahs from the Occupy Wall Street era, but stepped it up after Bernie announced.

Anyway, I finally clicked on one of the links for kicks. The FIRST link I saw had a Fox News link buried in a Daily Mail link. So Fox News was the actual source. It was an interview with Bill Hemmer (sp?) and Dennis Kucinich where they blasted Hillary with such gems about some people at the Pentagon hating Hillary (who cares!). Ridiculous. When I called them on it, they called me a liar. Even after I linked to their own source, they still refused to apologize.

But that's when it became clear that so-called progressives and independents can malign anyone in the name of anti-establishment rah rah, sources be damned. Except for Bernie, lol. He can never be questioned.

So I always dig down to the original source, and that Progressive website had the original source as the Vermont Guardian. I also posted that as a juxtaposition to a spate of anti-Clinton threads referencing the Starr Report. The dogpile and double standards are funny to watch, although most of it looks like just trying to get posts hidden -- kind of phony.
