(Or if they did, I missed it.)

Maybe that's because the country has always liked a split government. Funny how people complain about "partisan bickering" and then keep voting for a split government. Wake up America!

It was subtle, but it was referenced throughout the convention. The choice includes VOTING Democrat all down the ticket - which includes local elections for Congress and Senate. It was most apparent in President Obama's speech

It is absolutely critical to vote during your local elections even during non-presidential elections. That's how the Tea Party snuck in. In some states, voter turnout was so low, that the Tea Party slid right into those spots. Now we have to be diligent and vote them OUT.

Hoped POTUS or FLOTUS, or a strong surrogate, would have mentioned it affirmatively, but too much to wish for I guess.

I think its silly to suggest country 'likes' split government. Not so thoughtful, I suspect. People tend to like their congresspeople/senators, and only pay attention to POTUS every 4 years when a big deal is made.

Sadly the democrats squandered it and looked for excuses. Yes, i understand both parties are corrupt and are beholden to big money but at least if they had put on more of a genuine face that would have been nice.

So i am not as motivated to push this. I am donating to Elizabeth Warren though because she is one of the few that i DO Believe.

That would be terrific. Donation made. Made a donation to DCCC earlier today as well. Let's keep at it and put on a fullcourt press.

he pissed it away. He had 58 Dem Senators and 259 House members. No matter what, the numbers will be smaller in the next Congress. I'll contributing to, and walking and voting for the president, but I'm not deluded enough to think he'll do anything earth-shattering. I will be sending cash to a few particularly good candidates like Warren and Duckworth and Grayson, but the appeasers aren't getting any of my hard-earned money.

Democratic Party Motivational Song

Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!

We have arguments about pro-life and pro-choice
It my belief that every woman should have her own voice
Some people say that I’m a liberal because I look ahead and not behind
Because I welcome new ideas and try to be gentle and kind

Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!

Don’t say I’m not a Christian because I don’t do as you do
Don’t decide what is good for me and I won’t decide what is good for you
Most democrats believe in God and try to do as he commands
It is not your position to decide where we stand

Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!

Some criticize me because I have different ideology
But I’m also a loyal American and I make no apology
I will work hard and I’m hell bent
To elect a democrat as our next president
A proud democrat, loyal American, well educated and motivated
I will stand up for my beliefs and will not be intimidated
I hear many in the GOP say we need to take our country back
Well, this country belongs to me too, and that is a simple fact

Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!
Say it loud: Democrat and I’m proud!

(I'm convinced we can work through the stalemate
I believe in compromise and I'm not driven by hate)
