(25,699 posts)Have you consulted a publisher?
MineralMan
(146,320 posts)Intentionally so. I stopped writing poetry for publication in about 1980. I discovered that I had an urgent need for money, so I turned to writing that paid. Time better spent.

(7,661 posts)now you have done it, admitting you are paid to post by the Clinton Camp
MineralMan
(146,320 posts)I have never been paid for any political writing, and would never accept payment for it. I am paid for marketing writing now. These days it's for the entire content of new business websites.
I work with a web designer and SEO specialist. Our websites work very well for our clients. That's the writing I do now for money. Nothing else. In the past, I have written for a number of major magazines, on subjects ranging from woodworking to computer technology.
Your sarcasm isn't needed. I've said the same thing many times here on DU.

MineralMan
(146,320 posts)I've been accused of being a paid shill here too many times. I don't find it in any way amusing.
That's just for your future reference.
UglyGreed
(7,661 posts)big fella did not mean to hurt your feelings, people will believe what they want to, sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong.
MineralMan
(146,320 posts)That isn't happening on DU. I'm not in any way fragile.
I'm like a freaking box of chocolates. (allusion intentional)
UglyGreed

Of course it is easy to mix up what a person truly means on the internet. I've done it many times over the years.

(22,840 posts)You've gone on and on about a polite suggestion that it is not amusing for a professional writer to be accused of being a shill. You're reaction suggests that your original "joke" was perhaps more of a "jab".

That's why if I buy chocolates, I get Almond Roca or Lindt truffles because they have only one kind in the package. You know what you are going to get.
UglyGreed
(7,661 posts)chocolate, but I do enjoy chocolate with any type nuts. My wife on the other hand does love plain dark chocolate so I try to get her the good stuff on special occasions.

(3,290 posts)Years ago I worked in a Law office. Needless to say the vast majority were conservative. I was not. I love to cook and used to bring in goodies every monday for the office. I saw the recipe in the paper for Hillary Clinton's Chocolate Chip Cookies. Several times over the years I made them and took them into the office and neglected to tell them where the recipe came from. My secret little Gotcha! Yeah, I know, a little childish but .........
Now that I think of it, I may make a batch and give some to my less enlightened friends for Xmas.
Those cookies look delicious and thanks for reminding me.
riversedge
(70,260 posts)touch with any of them--maybe thru a Holiday card ??--include a note--I am so glad you always enjoyed my Hillary choc chip cookies. would be a hoot.

(40,416 posts)Myself, I have been posting "Blah! Blah de-Blah!" on threads which are obvious flame bait.
I have been both called a Berniebro and a Hillarybot. It warms my black heart.
I try to get along here, but things are getting out of hand to the point that DU's purpose is being undermined by outright ill behavior.

(7,661 posts)the repeal of Glass-Steagall didn't help matters.
MineralMan
(146,320 posts)and will keep working until I slump over my keyboard. That's OK, though. It keeps me out of trouble, pretty much.
Besides, Hillary Clinton has a better plan than simply re-instating Glass-Steagall, which doesn't really cover everything it should. You can look it up on her campaign website, if you're interested.
I'm still stuck, but at least I have Social Security and Medicare. That's good. I can still write, too, which is better.

MineralMan
(146,320 posts)Many also have weak protection against multiple votes. Script kiddies, like those over at 4Chan get around that all the time. I don't know who they support for President, though.

(22,840 posts)And are questions about the accuracy of online polls where the same person can vote more than once off limits in your opinion? Does it hurt to make a joke about it instead of getting all angry about it? Or do you prefer angry?

(7,231 posts)expense of someone else. In my view, this poem falls decidedly on the wrong side of that divide, as it is likely to rile those who have taken notice of earlier 'contributions' by the writer of the OP.
