Senator Sanders on Income and Wealth Inequality

A message from Senator Sanders,

"As I travel across the country, I am constantly struck by the level of enthusiasm to do something about the rising levels of income inequality in this country, providing health care for all Americans, criminal justice reform, and reclaiming our democracy from a billionaire class buying candidates and elections."

"This is not a time to think small. What is required in this moment is a political revolution that takes back our democracy from establishment politicians and the billionaire class. But that can only happen if we stand together. If we do, we will win. If we are divided, the big money interests win."

This is a class war and all Democrats should be fighting for the 99% and not the billionaires.

Most people cannot afford to be bored with this issue.

Another issue Bernie talks about a lot that you are probably bored with is campaign finance reform in the form of Publicly Funded Elections. Hillary would be sunk for sure without all of the legal bribes from Wall Street, Private Prison companies, Big Pharma, the MIC, and the rest of corporate America. It is tedious for you I would expect hearing about all of the favors your candidate will have to pay back should she win!

My job is irrelevant.

As I see it:

We have the left (wacko left) that wants a fair shake for the 99%. Reduce poverty, save SS and Medicare. End the continuous war and reduce the defense budget. Roll back the Patriot Act and stop domestic spying. Take a hard line on no torture. Fix our infrastructure. Make the Wealthy pay their share.

Then we have your left-center, Conservative Dems, the Third Way, DLC, that are ok with the status quo and big money in politics, the unConstitutional Patriot Act, huuuge defense budget, job killing Trade Agreements, 16,000,000 children living in poverty, the highest infant mortality of all modern countries, an infrastructure that is crumbling around us. That supports American Exceptionalism and "spreading Democracy" around the world with force.

And then you have the Republicons.

We just want attainable goals without wrecking the economy and without talk of a revolution.

Revolutions can happen without them being called revolutions at the time.

In the end, we are all on the same side and don't let the impulses to divide us take over your soul.

Maybe some of the social justice goals, but even those she is "evolving" on. I think she would try to fix some social justice issues but not to the extent that it will cost her friends in the 1% a dime. In fact her billionaire backers are expecting some quid pro quo which will cost the 99%.

At some point we need to stick up for the 16,000,000 American children living in poverty and another 16 million living in low income homes. The richer the 1% gets the poor the 99% gets.

None of the following:
The legalization of marijuana even for medical purposes
Job killer trade agreements
the Patriot Act
Domestic Spying
Drone killing
Our stand on Iran
Most foreign policy
Helping college students swamped by debt plus tuition free college.
Fixing our infrastructure
environmental issues like fracking, drilling in the arctic and pipelines across America
For Profit Prisons
Breaking up the banks
Taxing the 1%
Raising the SS cap
Medicare for all
A new Glass-Steigall
GMO labeling
Same sex marriage (she is evolving on this)

the issue. Not surprised. How Democrats can turn their backs on 50,000,000 Americans living in poverty because the wealthy have looted the 99%, is beyond me.
