I would suggest that the Obama campaign consult with Bill Clinton about it and perhaps ask him to go down there.

Bill won Georgia in one of his elections. (I think 1992).

Bill got 43% in Georgia in '92 (lost it in '96) and Obama actually got 47% there in 2008.

Make Romney defend. I don't believe Romney has all the money that has been promised, and I don't believe his billionaires expected they would have to spend it in Georgia. This puts pressure on Romney. People under pressure make mistakes.

after this election cycle we should have both senators, and 2 out of 3 house seats Democrats.. Yes at least for now we do have a Republican Governor, however both houses of the legislature are heavily democratic.. that stops the real crazy stuff..

10. IMO SNL's devastating 'Real World' sketch on Sat Mar 16 1996 killed off Bob Dole
Fri Sep 7, 2012, 08:02 PM
Sep 2012

It was Season 21, episode 15 (see http://www.episodedata.com/series.php?id=670 ), right after primary season.

As Norm MacDonald's finest character portrayal, Bob Dole is thrown out of the 'Real World' house for being an intolerable old prick who always refers to himself in the third person: "That's Bob Dole's chair". Forced out of the house for good, he drags his favorite chair down the street on a rope behind him, while R.E.M. plays 'Everybody Hurts' in the background.

If somebody could write an SNL sketch THAT GOOD about Mitt Romney, SNL could take credit for another confirmed kill of a ridiculous pol.

There's still plenty of time for them to do it again.

you'd think there'd be a lot of kindred spirits around here..but, I don't know anyone I can talk to about how great the DNC was or anything political.

That's why I hang out on Du and other Dem political sites..because I'm interested in what's going on!

But, I know Hawai'i will go Blue(they're out there somewhere)..I don't care what crap Rince Preibus is spouting about and how much money the gop is throwing at Hawai'i to get a republicon senator from here. Now that Todd Akins is in trouble in MO.

But, you never know when people will suddenly wake up and view Romney as a Carpetbagger or something.

Maybe Obama ought to make a run through the state with a confederate flag on his lapel and bus to really confuse the locals.

Cobb County has a lot of folks who are still "separate and unequal" believers like in the 1950s.

Yes, there are some good folks - but finding them is work. It is exciting to think there is a chance, though.

I am seeing political commercials here today too. In Los Angeles, no less.

Of course, I am watching Iowa/Iowa State on the Big Ten Network.

Pretty nice piece with Bill Clinton making the "we need the middle class" argument. And some kind of quasi public service announce featuring Obama and Biden about zero-tolerance on domestic violence.

I'd like for President Obama to get re-elected and flip at least one state with re-election; to come out, as almost all before him had with winning a second full term, an increase in his electoral-vote score. So, I'd like Georgia to deliver. But I'm also looking at Missouri, Montana, and Arizona.
