"Obama Motors" remember that one?

The Republicans loved to throw that derogatory term around. We have not seen that one lately. I wonder why?

The GOPers are freaking because they know the success of the auto bailout is a killer politically especially when we have on record their likely nominee arguing to let Detroit fail..

Let Detroit Go Bankrupt

"IF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed."

The Clint Eastwood Super Bowl ad just rubs it in their face even more.

plus it's a very optimistic message......republicans know they can't compete with that one, that's why they hate it so much!

I remember when republicans claimed the Cash for Clunkers was a failure because it was so successful that it ran out of money. I never did understand how a successful program could also be a failure!

but viewers watching it cant help but remember it was Obama who pushed to save the auto industry while the RW argued to let it die. Just love it!

....but everyone knows Obama saved Detroit!! Which is why they're so mad about it....they don't want people thinking about the good things Obama has done.

On Morning Joe today.....Joe seemed to love that commercial but Mika didn't like it! I don't get that. I'm surprised Joe liked it but I couldn't understand why Mika was opposed to it.

"The President." It needs to be affordable, peppy, smart and get good gas mileage. It needs to have a good sound system too .

Oh, and it has to look good!

It would drive the GOP nuts.

It was very open for interpretation. The half-time remark could have referred to the game itself or could also be seen as an analogy for the upcoming election. It got my attention and held it until the very end. It twisted Karl Rove's knickers and effectively smacked down the naysayer Rebublicans.

I've heard the other words that the GOPers have coined: Obamacare, Obama Bus, and the 'U.S.S. Obamaboat'

See the OP for the ObamaBoat and comment #2 for a photo of the Obama Bus here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/101437585

Re-read the editorial since you so thoughtfully posted it, thank you! Found this nugget of irony, thought you all might enjoy. Mitt advising management at the Big Three:

Get rid of the planes, the executive dining rooms — all the symbols that breed resentment among the hundreds of thousands who will also be sacrificing to keep the companies afloat.

Yeah, quit with the blatant display of wealth, will ya? lolz

Asshole.

Mitt will come back and say, "I never wrote that editorial for the New York Times". Someone from my staff wrote it and signed my name to it but Obama stole my idea and bailed out GM.' Lets all not forget Mitt Romney tried to take credit for the success of the bailout.

I encourage everyone to pass this video around, especially to moderate Republicans and any Independents you may know.

Oh, and I was not kidding about Mitt claiming he did not write that piece for the Times. I can EASILY hear him saying that. Playing the same card Ron Paul did with his newsletter. Even though Ron signed it he claims that was all he did.
