(12,041 posts)I suspect that many people will miss this debate. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz obviously wants to ensure that the Republican debates get far more attention than our candidates do.

(12,041 posts)I don't want the Republicans to win however so I would use some very different words to describe how Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is undermining democracy by restricting debate.

(10,175 posts)likely to vote is also likely to skip the premier showing in my opinion. I will be watching the debate with my wife. I'll see the movie when the crowds abate.

(17,399 posts)They did not do Hillary any favors by hiding these debates at times that are sure to have low viewership.

(2,427 posts)If a debate had to be aired and you had to pick the least likely time but still plausible time to air a debate, this Saturday would be your day. If they thought they could get away with airing it at 3AM they would.
Look at the schedule and it's pretty obvious to see that the DNC isn't interested in viewership.
To answer your question - probably a a fair bit but being the last Saturday before Christmas is probably going to be responsible for a larger portion of the "unwatching".
Most political weirdos like myself will be tuning in - no interest in watching Star Wars seated next to an unbathed Wookie - I'll let the crowds thin down.

(9,436 posts)Be lucky if 6 million people watch the debate....
What a dumb fucking way to get the Democrats candidates and messages out in the public.......

(18,219 posts)The problem is putting debates on Saturday nights...any Saturday nights. And the Saturday night before Christmas is one of the worst possible choices. It was intentional. The DNC doesn't want people to get to know Bernie.

(9,610 posts)We should see 50 million anxious viewers tuning in to the debate.
