2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThanks DWS/DNC, you just handed the WH to the god damn REPUBLICANS!!!
EVery caller to the liberal talk shows are how angry people are at DWS and that this means DNC is just as corrupt as those assholes in the other party.
I am so angry at this I am fucking spinning in circles here.
What DWS has done here is the epitome of playing sides and yet what she has done will GREATLY harm Hillary, and if this country isnt ready to elect a Democratic Socialist, well then if you aint a white male you better run like hell...
God dammit

(12,778 posts)The very few liberals who even know about this still aren't going to vote for Trump/Cruz/Rubio etc.
Take a few deep breaths. Let's all remain calm.

(21,054 posts)...the liberals will not vote for HRC because it smells like the DNC, DWS and HRC are in it together to hurt Bernie. HRC needs us liberals to defeat the Repukes. She must have our votes.
Thanks to DWS, IMO, a lot of us FDR Dems may stay home or pass the vote for POTUS. That is as much win for tRump, et al., as voting for them.

Before today only people like myself and some other tuned in folks understood, now anybody who pays attention even a little bit is going to see what is going on and Hillary will pay the price for it, which is a fucking disaster if she is the nominee.
There was NO reason to make this public and NO reason to PUNISH one of the candidates of OUR party...

(26,549 posts)She did not go to the press when the same problem was reported in October. She did not have to go to the press this time either. Instead, she decided to make this a public battle.
And apparently, it never occurred to her that announcing the DNC hires incompetent vendors to handle your personal data would be a bad thing. Surely that will have no effect on the willingness of people to hand over their credit card information for donations.
Or that fighting this battle in public may depress turnout if her favored candidate becomes the nominee.

Me? I just donated another $10.00 to the Sanders campaign and will host the Debate Party on Saturday (for Sanders supporters only). Should make for lively conversation.

It makes it look like DWS is purposely trying to harm Bernie's campaign.
It looks and smells terrible and the one thing I pray to god we could agree on is even if it did happen the way DWS says it happened they should have done all this behind closed doors and NOT taken away his access to HIS VOTERS
Please tell me you understand this.
ps
I love you too...
Also, I if i dont say what I am saying here, then I am not the person I say I am on this site and elsewhere.
I have said from day one that getting ANY dem in the WH is more important to me than anything, so what I am saying here is consistent with that. I see this harming Hillary tremendously if she doesnt fix it.
VanillaRhapsody
(21,115 posts)Even from his supporters..
This is not Clintons problem to fix....
Perhaps Sanders should just throw in the damn towel....i guess DWS should have let this criminal behavior slide .....you know to help team Hillary...by your convoluted theory...

(1,095 posts)... she is looking out for HRC's interests, but I think we all knew that was going to happen going in. It's the nature of the beast. You should have seen me yelling at my TV whenever she was on back in '08. I think half the reason I'm on BP meds now is because of that campaign.
He'll get his access back, and I think rather quickly. I'm guessing before Monday. How quick depends a lot on how his campaign reacts, and so far, that's been a bit dicey. The immediate firing was perfect.
Where you and I may differ is that I don't think anyone wanted this, not even DWS. This helps noone, and shows the Committee and Democrats in general in a bad light. But something this big was never going to be kept under wraps. It's just too much.
fleur-de-lisa
(14,628 posts)It's also very bizarre that you are getting these responses from both HRC and SBS supporters. Your comments, which I believe are right on point, should be of concern to ALL DEMOCRATS.

If all anybody at DU cares about is how people at DU see an issue, then I am wasting my time telling you how the rest of the god damn country sees it, you know, the ones who VOTE!
BTW, I am one of a very few persons on DU who will not criticize either candidate beyond basic mainstream stuff and always done in a positive way, and I am BLOCKED from BOTH the Bernie and Hillary groups.
So it is clear that most people on both sides have NO desire to work together...some here do, but not most, obviously'

(32,886 posts)... The Sanders campaign fired this senior campaign person for wrongdoing right? If he didn't do it, why did they fire him? The obvious answer is they believe he did something wrong.
That being the case, why is this DWS and the DNCs fault?
randys1
(16,286 posts)electing ANY dem to the WH.
To that end what you do NOT do is make BOTH of your candidates look bad by calling one of them unethical and showing clearly the other is connected at the hip to the party chair.
You dont do that when you absolutely could handle it in a way where we arent talking about it, at all.
That is what DWS does if the party as a whole is all that matters.
Seems to matter more to me than her.
And now for my passion and care about the party I have been blocked by BOTH the Bernie and Hillary rooms here at DU.
