3. The threat of a court case and Discovery often does wonders for righting wrongs.

Vans was negligent in their security. The DNC was negligent in not removing the vendor or rectifying the situation when they were notified of it 2 months ago. On the surface it appears Sanders has sufficient cause for a court case.

4. Given that the fired worker just admitted that he copied proprietary data, your analysis is wrong

The fired IT person was on MSNBC and admitted that he downloaded propriertary information http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/josh-uretsky-clinton-data-breach

The former data director for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)’s presidential campaign said Friday that staffers for the campaign accessed and saved voter information from opponent Hillary Clinton in order to prove to the Democratic National Committee that their voter information system had been breached.

In a phone interview, Josh Uretsky told MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki that the Sanders staffers “wanted to document and understand the scope of the problem so that we could report it accurately.” Uretsky was fired Friday after news of the breach broke.

This is the third or fourth story put out by the Sanders campaign. You do not want this idiot to be deposed

I would absolutely risk a lawsuit when there is so much on the line. And Sander's attorneys have already weighed the risks and made that decision. It is highly likely that the deposition of others in this mess will expose more than Van's, DWS or Clinton were ever expecting. They all would be making a stupid decision to not settle this matter immediately with the Sander's campaign.

So I really don't think you have anyone's best interest in mind except for Hillary's. But have a lovely evening anyways.

I believe DWS has forced them into court. Remember that Sanders was getting almost no coverage in the media until today when the DNC virtually called him crooked. And then the media spent the whole day repeating it. Now the media will have to cover the court case and people will learn about the DNCs actions and that the Sanders campaign had already fired the guy involved even though he may only have been attempting to point out a security flaw. Failure to go to court would mean that the biggest media day of his campaign would have been about accusations of wrong-doing with no counterclaim. I'm hoping for a good outcome but the DNC forced this.
