Why are the debates for the Democrats on Saturday nights?

The Republicans have dominated their message with independents and undecided voters thus far during the weekdays.

Thus they miss the chance to evaluate the candidates.

Saturday football always sneaks up on me.
Add opening weekend for star wars, last weekend before christmas, and probably a lot of christmas parties too, and that is just bad scheduling.
