Nothing wrong happened period

From the Sanders campaign:
“Clearly, they were very concerned about their prospects in court. Now what we need to restore confidence in the DNC’s ability to secure data is an independent audit that encompasses the DNC’s record this entire campaign. Transparency at the DNC is essential. We trust they have nothing to hide,” Weaver added."

If they were doing something "wrong" why would they file a federal lawsuit? If they were doing something wrong, why are they now demanding an independent audit?

The argument of a crime or otherwise nefarious actions collapses in the wake of the Sanders very public request for review and action.

I want an investigation too. I'm sure there is more to this story than meets the eye.

8. I know many Sanders supporters who won't let this die without a full investigation.

I'm one of them. Unlike the lack of investigation into the Iraq war vote and what came before, people are pissed. Many, millions of people are sick of the bullshit. This will happen

18. Investigation of DNC bias, or just the handling of the voter/supporter databases?

I don't see the later happening as it leads to the former, which would be intolerable to democratic PTB.

You can't have an investigation of the database kefuffal without looking at the vendor. But the vendor is an old party insider who will end up linked in potentially embarrassing ways to 'important people'.

Given just a few hours to think about this, those people decided it was best to keep their hands and clothing away from the whir of the machinery.

The action I expect to witness next is the DNC walking away on soft rubber soles, acting like this never happened.

There are certain elements that always point to wrong doing. Look at the DNC's action over the last 24 hours or so. But absolutely nothing wrong came from Senator Sanders or his campaign manager

So because a temporary thing was lifted, it suddenly proves that the actions of one side somehow ascribes motivations to the other side? Hogwash.

Re-read what I stated (added analogy for more context):
If they were doing something "wrong" why would they file a federal lawsuit? (Meaning, if you just broke the law you don't run into a police station to give them the finger) If they were doing something wrong, why are they now demanding an independent audit? (followed by the phrase"prove it assholes!&quot

The argument of a crime or otherwise nefarious actions collapses in the wake of the Sanders very public request for review and action. ( they didn't do anything wrong and they want to prove this was not an issue because of the Sanders campaign).

14. LOL. I guess they fired their data director for "nothing" then. That's kinda odd.

Of course something bad happened. They stole data. They filed a federal lawsuit because they didn't like the DNC's punishment for their theft. And also so that they could play victim, pretend that it was someone other than their own staff who did the thievery, and then fundraise off of the hatred of the Democratic party on the part of so many Bernie groupies.

And the head of Sanders' campaign said last night that they were investigating other staffers.

So something happened that they considered "wrong."

I'm still undecided, but I can't help but wonder what Sanders supporters would be saying if this had been a staffer on the Hillary campaign.

16. "It looks like we can pull lists from Hillary again."

On Reddit, an r/technology thread about the controversy included comment from a self-identified 2008 Obama campaign staffer who claimed such breaches were both common but of limited strategic value:

As an '08 Obama staffer who used the VAN extensively, it went down like this, "Oh, that's weird. It looks like we can pull lists from Hillary again. Hey Erin, do a quick search..." Then everyone in the office room (there were 4 total accounts who did a search) tried the search too.

Any data they pulled would not have been that useful, especially considering both campaigns use the VAN. They couldn't just turn around and re-enter the Clinton supporters as 5's, etc. That's not how it works ... The breach is a non-issue, however how it is being handled by the DNC (in addition to the way the debates, etc) is the telling issue about how undemocratic the Democratic National Party has become.

From the Sanders campaign:

"some of our staffers irresponsibly accessed some of the data from another campaign. That behavior is unacceptable to the Sanders campaign and we fired the staffer immediately"
