(4,822 posts)The Bernie campaign stole Hillary's campaign material and tried to bully the DNC to get away with it.

(23,156 posts)A firewall was allowed to go down. The IT guy is connected to Hillary, and the firewall problem has apparently been an on-going problem. Clearly the IT people are incompetent at best. A lot of people think that it may have been an attempt to lure the Sanders people into doing something wrong, but I have no opinion on that hypothesis. Meanwhile, it was the SANDERS campaign that reported the problem, and they were the ones punished. Which alas, is what almost always happens to whistleblowers. They weren't trying to get away with anything, just insisted they get back the access to the entire data base that they were entitled to.
I'm perfectly willing to believe that Clinton people took a good look at the Sanders side of the downed firewall, but have not had the integrity to say so.

(1,782 posts)I believe that Bernie is the best hope this country's got, and that this data thing is the DNC's desperate attempt to secure Bernie's defeat at any cost. But I'll concede that yes, Bernie has bad hair.
Very bad hair.

As Hepburn said, 'Bernie had a total winner on his petn for injunctive relief. IMO, all they are doing now is mitigating the damages which were alleged in the alternative causes of action in the petn.'

(7,231 posts)Remember: it was O'Malley who first complained about the rigging of the debates (number of times, dates...). Team MOM can see that what happened to Sanders could easilly have happened to them to. And they are too Democratic to let DWS get away with it.

(7,231 posts)If the DNC had sucha strong case that Sanders campaign had "stolen" data (accessed is a better word here), whey were they afraid to take it to court?
The bias from team Clinton and DWS is now apparent for everyone to see. And it is ugly to behold.

(51,574 posts)Here are some of those "FACTS" you claim are "too difficult to read":
http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2015-12-18/sanders-campaign-fires-data-director-after-breach-of-clinton-files
Some of these voter lists were saved into a folder named "Targets," according to the logs. Uretsky's deputy appeared to focus on pulling data on South Carolina and Iowa voters based on turnout and support or lack of support for Clinton.
The Sanders campaign employees who accessed the Clinton voter information without authorization appear to have run afoul of the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, said Jason Weinstein, a former supervisor of the Justice Department's computer crimes section.
Those employees "have reason to be concerned about legal exposure," he said, for what appears to fit the definition of illegal hacking.

(130,974 posts)My point is it doesn't take a genius, or a law degree, which I (and Hepburn have) to conclude that DNC/DWS wronged Sanders in this action. And DNC has been wronging all 'other than hrc' candidates.

(7,231 posts)In a similar way we could say:
Evita Perron was an important female politician, and known to be deeply corrupt. Clinton is also an important female politician, therefore we will compare her to Perron. Even though we could also compare her to female politicians not known for blatant corruption, we are going to make just this one comparison.
Why: because it slanders the man / woman.

Did BS just throw him under the bus for kicks? If Bernie doesn't know or firmly believe that said employee is actually guilty of something, why did he fire him?

(2,074 posts)I think Bernie has not handled this very well at all. I was deeply disappointed that a man who is prized for his integrity did not simply allow the audit, cooperate with the DNC, and made sure that all the guilty parties get fired. Instead he chose to make politics out of this and sue the DNC. Yes, the DNC prefers Hillary - duh. She's been a significant Democrat for years. Bernie has been one for all of 5 minutes. But that bias would not have been an issue if Bernie's campaign people did not go snooping in Clinton's files. And the fact that Bernie supporters immediately started blaming Hillary for the whole mess has been seriously off-putting.
But to compare Bernie to Trump is not right. Trump is a demagogue whose ideas are akin to those of Adolf Hitler. Bernie may have shown less than wonderful leadership in this situation, but he does not deserve to be compared to that horrible man, in any way.
MohRokTah
(15,429 posts)His actions during this scandal certainly are similar to the actions of past demagogues in similar situations.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
1) Post's body - one brief sentence - fails to present cogent analysis supportive of post's title;
2) Post is ostensibly intended for purely inflammatory purposes and better suited - if at all - as merely a response in an overall thread.

Explanation: What the hell? Guys on both sides need to grow up a bit. The censorship of posts should rise to a certain level before a takedown request is even asked. Skinner really needs to add counters on each person's profile pages so people can see the details of: How many flags were requested and how many times a person censored a post. These people need to be exposed, sort of like the percentage of serving on a jury.
