Does ANYONE think it is reasonable to hold a political debate on the Saturday before Christmas???

Until yesterday, I was unaware there was another debate scheduled at all. But my first reaction was this: A debate on the Saturday before Christmas, the biggest shopping day of the year.... Seriously???

If anyone was still wondering whether the DNC really didn't want people to watch their debates, I have to think this absurdly scheduled debate will remove all doubt.

Does anyone HONESTLY think it is reasonable to hold a Presidential debate on the Saturday before Christmas?

My answer would be

Most likely, no. Saturdays nights in general are not good. Neither is the entire week (or two) before Christmas. On top of that, the Saturday night before Christmas is when many businesses hold their office holiday parties. So, it's 0 for 3. However, some people have been fscking disingenous about this.

Saturday is not a true weekend day anymore. Christmas Day is actually a week away. The local stores are trying to find ways to give things away because so many people have shopped online this year.

We are watching the debate regardless of whether it is in real time or we decide to record it to view tomorrow--on Sunday.

I think it would further hurt him like the other debates did. look at his poll numbers. If there were more debates, more people would see he isn't emotionally stable enough and doesn't have the demeanor to be POTUS. Eventually he's going to have an emotional outburst at one of these events because he cant handle not being in control of the media questions etc... Remember?
If I were one of his worshippers, I would be thankful there weren't any more debates than there are.

There's a babbling stream beside the field, and no street lights out here, so a good view of the stars before the fire is lit. Hot chocolate for kids who are running around. Usually ends with somone up on the hill setting off a nice display of fireworks.
