...but if she did Bill Clinton's strong security against Bin Laden would've been in place and 9/11 probably would've been averted.

we'd have a radically-different party as she'd have gotten trounced in the GE and that entire DLC wing of the party would be dead. We'd probably be finishing the second term of a far more progressive President than Barack Obama who unfortunately would be just the mayor of a major US city rather than a good-if-slightly-too-conservative-for-my-liking President.

9/11 wouldn't have happened with any Democratic President though since that's peripherally what you asked, because any moron except the moron we had wouldn't have ignored a security brief with a title like "Al Qaeda determined to strike within US."

So many things would have spun out differently if you change the smallest detail of history.

It's a big hypothetical, given she wasn't even running then. I know she voted for it as a Senator, but I'm not sure she would've been leading the charge into Iraq as President, like Bush did.

Invading Iraq was a PNAC thing. She might have gone full tilt into Afghanistan in pursuit of Bin Laden and I think she might've had a lot of support for it. I didn't like Bush's bombing of Afghanistan, honestly, but I was not opposed to it given the circumstances. I adamantly opposed the invasion of Iraq under Bush and would have opposed it under her (or anyone) as well.

I imagine the GOP, however, would have viciously hounded Clinton about 9/11 during her entire time in office and would still be screaming about it today. I believe the same would be true if Gore had been in office.

If Bill could have justified it he would have which is demonstrated by Hillary's vote.....anyone who thinks her vote was not based on Bills daily Iraq briefings for 8 years prior is kidding themselves imho....
