The DNC/DWS tried to cripple the Sanders campaign, and were forced to back off by the courts.

THAT is the bottom line, people. You can obsess over the supposed "crime" of copying files from a shared database, but the larger issue is the failed attempt by the DNC leadership to effectively KILL the campaign of a major candidate.

2. Back off, after the Sanders campaign did everything the DNC wanted

“The Sanders campaign has now complied with the DNC’s request to provide the information that we have requested of them. Based on this information, we are restoring the Sanders campaign’s access to the voter file, but will continue to investigate to ensure that the data that was inappropriately accessed has been deleted and is no longer in possession of the Sanders campaign. The Sanders campaign has agreed to fully cooperate with the continuing DNC investigation of this breach. The fact that data was accessed inappropriately is completely unacceptable, and the DNC expects each campaign to operate with integrity going forward with respect to the voter file.

5. The DNC didn't invoke the courts for a reason. And they folded like the cheap, sleazy operation

Sanders did so how does the DNC pursue a case they didn't file but rather one where they are the defendant?

how the VAN system works, that Bernie was the COMPLAINTANT and lawsuits don't stop when you get hoisted on your own petard if you're the DEFENDANT and none of this has made it to court yet.

They're running around with their hair on fire screaming "Bernie STOLE THE DATA AND COPIED IT!111!!1" and, at this point, after it being explained to them time and again, are still repeating the same accusations. At this point they're looking pretty unhingd.

And data isn't the only thing they don't understand. Add integrity. They support a habitual liar that has built her career by skirting along the edge of legality. Her negatives are her own doing and at Nixon levels.

11. Yes, that's the talking point. Bernie's campaign steals data, it's someone else's fault.

It will require the court to force disclosure of the machinations behind the repeated firewall lapses. Put the low level tech people in front of a judge under oath.
