2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumO'Malley is a candidate worth considering.
'While, understandably, much of the attention currently being given to the presidential race is focused on the Republican zaniness, Democrats shouldn't lose sight of the fact and be very proud that their candidates are addressing the important issues of the day and doing so in a thoughtful, civil manner.
Democrats should also remember that there are three viable candidates seeking their party's nomination. I strongly encourage voters to take a look at Martin O'Malley, a proven leader who has successfully taken on big challenges during his years in government and public service.
O'Malley, the former mayor of Baltimore and governor of Maryland, has a record of getting things done on everything from education to clean energy. He created a safer Maryland, implemented the DREAM Act, created good-paying jobs and strengthened his state's middle class. He will do the same for our nation when he's in the White House.
Volunteers for Gov. O'Malley will soon be hitting the streets in New York state to talk about the governor's candidacy and his position on issues. Democrats don't have to settle for the pundits' predictions. This election is not about what the polls say; it's about who can best lead the country during these challenging times. As Democrats, we can make a bold choice and elect someone with vision, experience and achievement.'

(2,197 posts)I love his LGBT advocacy...I preferred his reaction to the BLM thing at NN to Sanders (he apologized and went to the interview afterward...that was a straight up thing to do, the "AllLivesMatter" gaffe, aside).
I do want to hear him talk a little more about the problems in Baltimore and what went wrong...and what he got right...I do like that he's to the left of Clinton and a Democrat as well, though.

(9,527 posts)I don't have a preference between the three candidates, but I agree with the other poster in saying that you are an amazingly positive advocate for O'Malley.
