(3,133 posts)The problem is, Hillary worries too much about her body/ankles and has said you will never see her in a skirt. The long coat, the long bell bottoms, with the pointy shoes, only tall women should wear, I thought for a woman with a pretty face, great hair, could have a better stylist or better choices.
pnwmom
(108,980 posts)And since when is there a rule about shorter women not wearing pointy shoes? 95% of pumps are pointy so that would rule out most dress shoes.

A poor plebeian like myself was never privileged enough to learn French. Could you please translate it for me and others similarly disadvantaged.
Thank you in advance.

Before anybody corrects me let me state that even plebeians like myself know Mr. Dior passed away long ago.

fleur-de-lisa
(14,627 posts)this line of discussion has no place on DU.

Still, certainly a side issue. It looks nice in closeup, and comfortable. I still want one just like it.

(10,362 posts)Looks like an outfit worn by an eastern mystic or something... or Kim Kardashian. Very strange that her team let her wear that with the money they have.
MoonRiver
(36,926 posts)Maybe she had more important things on her mind. Hillary's clothes and hair have always been a target for her enimies. I think it is a real commentary about them, not Hillary's fashion sense,

(3,900 posts)As a grown-assed woman, Senator Clinton no doubt is quite capable of picking out her own outfits and dressing herself. I doubt that she has empowered her team to determine what they will "let" her wear . . .
TDale313
(7,820 posts)it's sexist that so much attention gets paid to Hillary's appearance and hair/clothing. That said, I suspect handlers actually do have input into what candidates wear for a major occasion like a national debate.

(21,054 posts)...that is uncalled for. I don't like a lot of the clothing I see on many of the candidates, but it's the ideas and positions that matter. I really did not notice what she had on...just saw that all the colors on my TV seem to be off tonight and so no one looks that great on the tube.

(21,054 posts)I could not care less unless it is really something off the wall awful...and I have not seen that in any of our candidates.
During the last GOP debate noticing all of the bright red ties they men were wearing. Wondered if that was due to it being the GOP...or whether red ties are right now a men's fashion statement. Even Carly was in red. Maybe because of Christmas?

BTW, I thought BS did a very good job at tonight's debate - and I am certainly no fan of the man.
That being said, I wonder why some of his "supporters" are more interested in discussing HRC's outfit than touting their candidate-of-choice's debate performance.

(50,130 posts)...and I realize that it is probably Chanel. I knew that it was Chanel from the beginning. But on TV, it only appeared baggy, shapeless, and frumpy. And washed out color-wise. Hillary is an attractive woman.
It still looks what is called "rump sprung."
