2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumMartin O'Malley won last night's debate
He dominated on every issue. He blew away the other two. He's my candidate, and I'm delighted with his performance.
Admittedly, I didn't watch the debate and I might change my mind after I watch my recording of it.
But that's my opinion at this point.

(3,649 posts)Every supporter thinks their candidate won the race. We'll see the effect of the debate (or really, the events of the last couple of days) in the next few weeks.
EDIT: Nevermind, just re-read the OP.

(8,964 posts)He came off as sounding a bit over-rehearsed with ready-to-serve talking points delivered in rapid fire mechanical fashion. Great content, but the delivery was not that impressive and unlikely to improve his standing. Bernie was passionate and sincere. Hillary was her usual tough and resolute self, albeit tardy at one point.

(19,479 posts)He's not as good at being extemporaneous as are Sanders and Clinton, and that hurts him in this kind of format.

(10,500 posts)I think he made a big mistake last night with his comment about "a different generation." The audience didn't like that remark at all.

(12,655 posts)but he got majorly screwed by the mods....they gave him little time, asked fewer questions of him, and cut him off a few times
but he did well despite it being the clinton show.

(19,479 posts)I thought he did a better job of asserting himself this time and forcing them to give him more time. But they're still determined to minimize him and his candidacy.

(12,655 posts)they are trying to shut him out and trying to shut bernie down leaving only one. they don't seem to get that a candidate who needs help getting through a primary is a very weak ge candidate. but i am not sure they care. i am positive they would rather see trump than either bernie or martin in the wh. corporatocracy must be preserved above all else.

(9,289 posts)Although I must say that, having not watched the debate myself, Sanders was clearly the victor.
