Related: About this forumI'd like to make a public apology to Segami.
Apparently this was a real email from the Clinton campaign:

I accused him/ her of posting a lie from Kos:

(16,104 posts)I still have never had an email from Hillary like that!
Team Bernie: Hillary said "We could lose the nomination" after 3rd debate.

Thank you for getting it
This was junk email I wanted to make a little joke for Team Bernie to read with the morning coffee. Its just another moneymail that had a strange line in it I wanted you guys to see. I made me laugh, I can see it made other people angry. Lets just all get along.

(16,104 posts)Since I have never seen an email or an admission of anything like that like from hillaryclinton.com, call me skeptical.
Down thread Aaron Mc repeats he did it for the Bernie Team for an AM coffee laugh. But it is Daily Kos, so who knows who else might pick it up?
And who knows what the original email was and from what organization?
sufrommich
(22,871 posts)it was a pm from someone I trust implicitly:
Mine says 'other candidates.' Here is the exact wording copied from the email:
I don't know how else to say it except by saying it: We could lose the nomination, xxxxx.
The other candidates on that stage last night would like nothing more than for our team to sit back and relax right now, but I am not taking anything for granted.
You can't either, I need your help.
Let's show the world that we're going to fight hard, secure the Democratic nomination, and go on to the White House. I know you'll step up when I need you. Chip in $5 today:

(16,104 posts)If you want to stick with your apology, I guess you have a reason.
The only screenshot of the email I have seen anywhere is an admitted fraud.

(9,497 posts)They have what they call campaigns and tags. It is a huge software that Hillary should be using or is using one that is very similar.
If a member does one thing, like sign up for monthly donations, they get tagged and sent through a particular campaign.
If they just open the emails, but don't do anything, they are tagged and put into another campaign. There are multitudes of campaigns. They are scheduled out. If you do a desired action, it can then put you into another campaign. It is an automation and CRM and shopping cart all in one.
So I would suspect that you are in the We Have Her/his Vote and Money campaign. This other person, is probably in the How Do We Convert This into a Donation campaign.
Well done, with your apology. When we (I)are (am) passionate, sometimes we (I) jump a little too quickly too.

Here's the Clinton email for anyone who wonders, followed by a similar email from the Sanders campaign:
I don't know how else to say it except by saying it: We could lose the nomination, XXXXXX.
The other candidates on that stage last night would like nothing more than for our team to sit back and relax right now, but I am not taking anything for granted.
You can't either, I need your help.

And here's one I received on Friday from the Sanders Campaign:
XXXXX --
Wow, I'm almost speechless. We've never seen anything like the reaction to Thursday's big news that 87.9% of Democracy for America members overwhelmingly voted to endorse Bernie Sanders.
From the New York Times and Washington Post to MSNBC and USA Today, this people-powered DFA endorsement -- on the same day as a huge endorsement for Bernie from the Communications Workers of America and a record-breaking 2 million total contributions to the campaign -- shook up the presidential race.
The next big moment in Bernie's campaign will take place in less than 48 hours.
On Saturday night, Bernie will face off against Hillary Clinton and Martin O'Malley in the last Democratic presidential debate of 2015 -- airing on ABC. This is a critical opportunity to build momentum and rally progressives behind Bernie's message of taking on the millionaires and the billionaires to rebuild the middle class.
Will you join the political revolution -- and help build momentum for Bernie's unprecedented campaign today? Chip in $3 or more to Bernie and DFA so we can ramp up our campaign the minute Saturday's debate ends. DEADLINE: Saturday, 11:59pm PT
As Charles Chamberlain discusses below, voters will be going to the polls in just a few weeks. We have no time to lose. If you haven't read this important message to DFA members from Charles, please take a few minutes to read it now.
Thank you for your support for Bernie and DFA at this critical moment in the campaign.

(14,576 posts)Interesting that was a REAL email. Wow. Must only have gone to the hard core Clinton donors. Don't want that one getting TOO wide an audience...
By the way, good apology. Good that you're big enough to admit being wrong. A trait we can all emulate.
