I keep seeing posts here about discussing the issues, yet whenever someone starts a thread about the issues, it simply turns into another trash and bash thread.
We need someone in the WH that has a plan, real plans, who has shown that they care about what the people are going through, and who knows that this is about finding solutions to the problems we have in this country and the world. O'Malley is that person.

(131,073 posts)someone who knows what NEEDS to be done, and has ideas (and experience) to DO it/them.

(30,481 posts)But in a primary with three people, and one of those people is consistently polling over fifty percent with their closest competitor consistently over twenty points behind, and is also polling ahead consistently in over forty- five states; the party is united. Those really are impressive numbers considering voting is right around the corner.

(131,073 posts)imo the polls really spring from the fantasies of MANY, fed by msm that wants $ and ### and DRAMA, and then many lemmings follow. I have NO confidence that 'polls' genuinely reflect well-made conclusions of most of the electorate.
Internet polls are easily manipulated, as has been shown numerous times here on DU. The other polls right now really mean nothing. Somebody calls on a phone and asks questions which may or many not be relevant, then they take the numbers of those who do respond, usually in the hundreds, and break it down to get the results. Even if they got thousands to reply to the questions, it would not actual show how millions of others would respond.

(11,495 posts)Between the Sanders crowd and the Clinton crowd. True it's mostly here on DU, but I worry it will spill over into the general election. While the media keeps the "fight" going, O'Malley is working on the issues, and if something were to happen with one of the other two candidates, I think he would pull into a pretty good position, and I honestly think that he could win. Sure it's a long shot, but hey, crazier things have happened.

(46 posts)I just hope O'Malley will stick around for the next try, maybe 2024, if all goes well and Sanders becomes President of the United States.

(2,125 posts)Definitely not a defender of the status quo. I believe he'd usher in positive change on the national level. It's unfortunate the MSM doesn't give his accomplishments the attention they deserve.
