Related: About this forumClinton : We need more kindness in our country
During a recent rally in Iowa, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was confronted with a question from a young girl who told her that she was subject to bullying in school because of her asthma.
Clinton wouldn't stand for that.
"You are looking at somebody who's had a lot of terrible things said about me," Clinton told her. "I am well aware of the fact that it's really easy to do that. And you just say it and you send it around the world. And luckily, I'm old enough that it doesn't particularly bother me, but I can't even imagine what it's like to be a young person in today's world, where that's coming at you all the time. So I do think we all have to speak up and speak out about trying to create an atmosphere where bullying is not appropriate. Where it's not allowed. Where people don't buy into it."

Plus war taxes...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excess_profits_tax
Excess profits tax
In the United States, an excess profits tax is a tax, some say excise tax, on any profit above a certain amount. A predominantly wartime fiscal instrument, the tax was designed primarily to capture wartime profits that exceeded normal peacetime profits to prevent perverse incentives for manufacturers to engage in war profiteering and warmongering.
---
Snip...
The Korean War induced Congress to reimpose an excess profits tax, effective from 1 July 1950 to 31 December 1953. The tax rate was 30 percent of excess profits with the top corporate tax rate rising from 45% to 47%, a 70 percent ceiling for the combined corporation and excess profits taxes.
---
Take the profit out of our wars and they will end tomorrow.

I would also think if you have looked at Sanders record you already know when he has voted for military action, you see, I know Hillary voted for the IWR.
If you are going to hold Hillary responsible for the Iraq invasion when you know it was Bush's decision you are allowing the republicans to avoid any responsibility of their actions.
Once more, if you are going to hold Hillary responsible for the Iraq war the we will hold Sanders responsible for all of the gun violence in the US, it would be fair.

No. I hated the company, but the company wanted my skills, and was willing to pay well. So they did. I left of my own volition two years later, and started my own boutique business that is doing well.
But I will always be grateful to Lockheed because they provided additional training for me to use my skills. They paid for it, sent me to different cities for training, and never had any issues.
Mainly, my facilities at Waterton Canyon was building rocket equipment and some of the Mars rover stuff you see today. Even got to see it built from scratch which was cool.
That's all it took for you to find a way to complain about an unabashedly positive message that no rational person could disagree with.

(15,480 posts)In October 2014 she took a public stand against cyberbullying, calling herself "patient zero" of online harassment.[59] Speaking at a Forbes magazine "30 Under 30" Summit about her experiences in the aftermath of the scandal, she said, "Having survived myself, what I want to do now is help other victims of the shame game survive, too."[59][60] She said she was influenced by reading about the suicide of Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers University freshman where cyberbullying was involved[59] and joined Twitter to facilitate her efforts.[60][61]In March 2015, Lewinsky continued to speak out publicly against cyberbullying,[62] delivering a TED talk calling for a more compassionate Internet.[63][64] In June 2015, she became an ambassador and strategic advisor for anti-bullying organization Bystander Revolution.[65] The same month, she gave an anti-cyberbullying speech at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.[6

So if this is the new kind Hillary, will she apologize for calling Monica Lewinsky a narcissistic looneytoon?
Blair wrote in her diary that Hillary Clinton called Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern who nearly brought down her husband's presidency, a "narcissistic loony toon." Hillary Clinton defended her husband's adultery by saying it was caused, partly, because "the ugly forces started making up hateful things about them, pounding on them."

(15,480 posts)And more importantly, their parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles can't be solicited for campaign contributions or votes.
Cluster bomblets are packed by the hundreds into artillery shells, bombs or missiles which scatter them over vast areas, with some failing to explode immediately. The unexploded bomblets can then lie dormant for years after conflicts end until they are disturbed, often by civilians.
Children can be attracted to the unexploded bombs by their small size, shape and bright colors, activists say.
As many as 60 percent of the victims in Southeast Asia are children, the Cluster Munition Coalition campaign group said. The weapons have recently been used in Iraq, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Lebanon, it said.
The U.N. estimated that Israel dropped as many as 4 million bomblets in southern Lebanon during last year's war with Hezbollah, with as many 40 percent failing to explode on impact. According to the Red Cross, dormant bombs in southern Lebanon have caused more than 200 deaths and injuries since the end of Israel's attacks in August 2006.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/nations-call-for-ban-of-cluster-bombs/
In her autobiography, Living History, Senator Hillary Clinton portrays herself as an advocate for children, a defender of women and human rights. In fact, the Clintons have a long history of sacrificing the rights, even the lives of children, for political expediency. It is time to set the record straight.
On September 6, 2006, a Senate billa simple amendment to ban the use of cluster bombs in civilian areaspresented Senator Clinton with a timely opportunity to protect the lives of children throughout the world.
The cluster bomb is one of the most hated and heinous weapons in modern war, and its primary victims are children. Senator Obama voted for the amendment to ban cluster bombs. Senator Clinton, however, voted with the Republicans to kill the humanitarian bill, an amendment in accord with the Geneva Conventions, which already prohibit the use of indiscriminate weapons in populated areas.
All senators are expected to inform themselves on the issues before they cast a vote. The evidence is overwhelming. It is hard to believe that Senator Clinton was unaware of the humanitarian crisis when she voted to continue the use of cluster bombs in cities and populated areas. A U.N. weapons commission called cluster bombs weapons of indiscriminate effect. For years the international press reported the horrific consequences of cluster bombs on civilians. On April 10, 2003, for example, Asia Times described the carnage in Baghdad hospitals: The absolute majority of patients are women and children, victims of shrapnel, and most of all, fragments of cluster bombs. Reporting from a hospital in Hillah, The Mirror, a British newspaper, became graphic: Shrapnel peppered their bodies. Blackened the skin. Smashed heads. Tore limbs. A doctor reports that all the injuries you see were caused by cluster bombs. The majority of the victims were children who died because they were outside.
Even after wars subside, after treaties are signed, after belligerents return home, cluster bombs wreak havoc on civilian life., only to become landmines that later explode on playgrounds and farmlands. Children are drawn to cluster bomb canisters, the deadly duds that look like beer cans or toys before they explode.
