(10,128 posts)which suggests Bernie's position is even better.
The spike in 2008 to get Obama within 5 pts or so of Clinton came just after the Iowa caucus on Jan 3, 2008.
If Bernie wins Iowa (Feb 1, 2016) and NH (Feb 9, 2016), you'll see a dramatic tightening of the polls to within single digits.

The Golden One
(46 posts)Once Bernie takes IA and NH in a landslide, followed by a major victory delivered by insulted Hispanics who dropped Clinton for Bernie in Nevada, and a big, big upset in the making in South Carolina, where AA will endorse Bernie with their vote over Clinton. The rest is history. The March 1st firewalls are already broken.

(6,133 posts)Bernie is older than me. Maybe I'll try to look more like him, because I'm so embarrassed for my generation. It started with the Reagan Democrats.
How wrong can a generation be?
