2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI have tickets to feel the bern on Sunday morning
Assuming I hopefully didn't screw up the reservation, it's Sunday morning at a nearby senior center. It's a nice benefit to living in New Hampshire (ground zero is very annoying sometimes, but at the same time I get to check candidates out up close and personal).
And say hello from Chicagoland for me!

(21,210 posts)the decision has already been made for us.
But we had good news yesterday from the latest biopsy, so no complaints.
Hope you have a front row seat!

(21,210 posts)we sporadically buy lottery tickets, but in reality I almost do not want to win as the lottery of life is more important. I have this misguided feeling that one cannot win both
Happy you were able to attend!

(21,210 posts)but think we'll both agree that we would take the 'life lottery' over the money lottery, if only we could choose one.

(11,093 posts)I lost the life lottery, so all I can hope for is a little money so I don't end up on the street. But yes, if I had a choice, I'd probably go for the life lottery. But right now I just need to focus on making sure my family isn't on the street.

(11,093 posts)although my success rate will probably be nil. Either my wife or my mother will come, but we're all from Vermont where he's a known quantity although I haven't seen him for years (first advantage: Bernie doesn't change, if anything, he gets better).
I don't know if the tickets guarantee admission or if it's first come/first served and the tickets just make it easy to get a preliminary headcount. If I can get in, I'll try to tape some portions or at least report back here.
Have a good time.

(51,076 posts)We are so far out of the loop that I doubt I even get a chance too see or hear him.
I'll damn sure be voting for him in our Primary though

(11,093 posts)I now live in New Hampshire, and I know damn well that if I lived in L.A. or nearly anywhere else (except maybe Iowa) I'd never be able to meet candidates. I've had the opportunity to stand with some and watch others. I recognize it's an opportunity most people don't get, so I try to appreciate it and make use of it.

We've got to get our butts out and work for Bernie. On a personal level I see it as my last chance to try to make it right for my only grand daughter and all the rest of the grand children of everyone of us. This one is personal to me. I'm old (67 and soon to be 68)and probably won't make it to the next presidential election so I have to get this one right.
A friend and I was talking yesterday and we were talking about how we've already fought all these battles we're having to fight again. Like I said to him, it won't be long before its back to the coat hangers and back alleys. Pretty much sums it up.
Happy New Year
May we make the most of it

I hope Bernie takes Oklahoma. In my own family in Arkansas, I count at least 4 solid Bernie votes, and maybe a couple more. Bernie seems to making inroads in Arkansas, which this past summer was considered to be a shoo-in for Hillary.

Have fun!

(11,093 posts)and I'm pretty sure, since I don't think a ton of New Hampshirtes will get their asses out of bed that early on a Sunday but they're encouraging videos, so I'll tape what I can.
