2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDick Morris: Hillary Will Lose Nomination to Bernie Sanders
I am sourcing this from NewsMax because no other source will publish Morris these days.
Please note, Morris is ALWAYS WRONG:
Hillary Clinton will lose the Democratic nomination to Bernie Sanders setting up a huge fight to "steal it by getting the super delegates" at the party's national convention next July in Philadelphia, political strategist Dick Morris predicted to Newsmax TV on Wednesday.
"Hillary is losing to Sanders," Morris told "Newsmax Prime" host Joe Pags. "There is one post-debate poll that shows the margin collapsing from 20 points to 15.

(15,429 posts)The best predictions in any race are taking what Morris says and going with the exact opposite.
He says Sanders will win. It's a safe bet that Sanders will lose since he said that.
Warren Stupidity
(48,181 posts)You know, your side. That's why he was a huge pal of the Clintons for decades until Hillary started having ambitions, then his inner misogyny got the best of him. He is comfortable with center right politicians from either party.

(15,438 posts)of Hillary Clinton coverage (unless it's negative); the influx of Sanders on weekend and weekday news shows and print coverage he's getting; the fact that renowned Republican strategists are even tweeting for Sanders; and the call for Operation Chaos 2016, even calling for Republican voters to donate to Sanders campaign.
The writing on the wall is in NEON and couldn't be clearer. They WANT Bernie Sanders to win the nomination because they're ready to tear him to shreds and get a Republican into the White House now that four Supreme Court Justices are set to retire in the next decade, and they want more Roberts and Alitos in those seats. Oh, and they want war with Iran and Syria.

(145,291 posts)The idiots at the National Review are now urging conservatives to support Bernie Sanders http://www.nationalreview.com/article/420262/bernie-sanders-republicans-myra-adams
This is a call to action for every Republican anxious to win back the White House in 2016. Bernie Sanders, the socialist U.S. senator from Vermont, is now surging in his quest to win the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. He is attracting media attention and large crowds, and is invigorated by a New Hampshireprimary poll showing him only 10 points behind frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
After a GOP power player sent me a piece from left-leaning Salon headlined Hillary Clinton is going to lose: She doesnt even see the frustrated progressive wave that will nominate Bernie Sanders, my heart went pitter-patter, beginning to sense an opportunity. But it was not until I saw a headline in The Hill warning that the Sanders surge is becoming a bigger problem for Clinton, accompanied by It may be time for Hillary Clinton to take the challenge from Sen. Bernie Sanders more seriously, that I was truly motivated to join Team Bernie and rally my fellow Republicans to do the same.

The GOP is urging people to support sanders because the conservatives know that they can not beat Hillary Clinton. The author of this article actually made a contribution to Sanders.

(110,159 posts)that moment. Shit dude, there was a lot of stuff happening in the 90's in all ways.
Warren DeMontague
(80,708 posts)Much of it is a sort of seinfeld-flavored blur. Still, even I remember that Morris was a right-wing bobknob well before he was ludicrously plastered all over CNN for his shrimping fetish or what have you.
But you said he was worth listening to once, not me. I certainly dont remember any such window of time.

(110,159 posts)Warren DeMontague
(80,708 posts)Still, this entire thread is a display in bad logic- the core assertion being that someone who has been wrong or otherwise discredited in the past holds opinion X, therefore opinion X must be inherently suspect.
Even a cursory perusal with critical thinking skills will illuminate why this is faulty reasoning. Pat Buchanan opposing the Iraq War - which he did - had no relevance to whether or not opposition to the Iraq War was a good or defensible position, etc.
