Jon Huntsman doesn't know what Romney is proposing on the Arab Spring - "kind of a problem"

Is Huntsman hoping that Romney loses? Does anyone think he is going to switch parties?

"Jon Huntsman said Friday he doesn’t know how Mitt Romney is planning to handle the Arab Spring, which the former GOP presidential hopeful said was a “kind of a problem.”

“I don’t know what Gov. Romney is proposing at this point,” Huntsman said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” when asked about the difference between how President Barack Obama would handle the Arab Spring, compared with Romney’s proposals.

“That might be a problem,” host Mika Brzezinski said.

“It’s kind of a problem,” Huntsman said.

"Huntsman, who lost to Romney in the Republican primaries and half-heartedly endorsed the eventual nominee, worked for Obama as U.S. ambassador to China. He also worked in foreign policy in the George W. Bush administration before winning office in Utah."

A conservative, republican, libertarian, etc. etc. in any way, shape, or form . . . but Huntsman always seems to be a voice of reason on that side. And for that - I'm very glad he got pummeled in their primaries.

My Dad and I used to worry that Romney would be much better and stronger challenger for President Obama. Now, not so much.

I thought Romney would be a "Moderate" Republican. But it looks like Moderates aren't allowed in the Republican party and Romney had to sell his soul and become a Hatriot.

It sucked that I kinda liked the guy and I had to celebrate when he was booted. I just have a hard time believing that any Republican, no matter how sane and reasonable, won't fuck things up.

HE knows what he is talking about, unlike R.Money! I never realized that Romney would wind up being almost as unprepared and incompetent as Sarah Palin as Romney is revealing himself to be. He can't even handle a relatively minor trip overseas to some of our closest allies without embarrassing himself for crissakes!!!

to China, so I thought "he oughta know more than most people." He has been in the diplomatic community and he has experienced Obama's leadership style so he's a very good resource, even if he is a Republican.

I noticed that after the interview, Mika and Joe were lamenting that he lost out so early in the primaries...

Hunstman tried to be sympathetic. If I remember correctly, started out defending Romney's message while be critical of his timing. The question about what Romney's Middle East policy was was asked by someone else, perhaps Halperin, which threw Huntsman off guard. He had not honest way to answer the question, and admitted that he did not think a policy existed. He did not deliberately undermine Romney.
