(1,309 posts)This is entirely insufficient to make up for the death blow dealt to his campaign because he did not get even a thousand signatures in Ohio to get on the ballot. Furthermore it was noticed that the majority of those collecting signatures had addresses in Maryland. This further erodes any rational belief he can win the nomination. It is time for him to tell the hopeful young people that impossible is impossible or tell them their efforts now may make him better known or better accepted in 2020 or 2024. Not much hope for a candidate and a campaign that has squandered all of Ohio's 159 delegate votes and its 16 electoral votes and is still polling at less than 5 percent everywhere to my knowledge. Play all the songs, drink a beer , and call it a night for a campaign now with an impossible task. As a good leader you do not sacrifice your followers for your personal glory when there is no reasonable hope of accomplishing anything of import. Go back to Maryland and quit helping Hillary. by deflecting attention from the great differences between her positions and Bernie's. If you do not quit soon, you will be less respected among those who have been supporting you.

And he won't quit until after the 1st few primaries, so save your unfounded conspiracy theories.
PS. Ohio has 148 delegate votes.

(86,005 posts)...O'Malley's in this to be more than Bernie Sanders' political flunky.
You obviously don't support him, so telling others to back off of their own support is just self-serving to whatever you're campaigning for.
As for 'import,' O'Malley's solidly progressive campaign has helped make the leftward expectations of voters prominent in this race; not only influencing support for his campaign, but generating support and backbone for the initiatives, proposals, and stances he's taken. It's not surprising that you can't see or acknowledge that from your position of opposition.
