Once again, Romney ignores "When in a hole, stop digging" advice.

This time it is the now infamous video of Romney basically telling a bunch of rich fat cats that almost half the U.S. is made up of deadbeats looking for a handout. So what does Romney do? He calls a hasty news conference to say that while the "wording was inelegant" he essentially stands by his assessment. In other words, he is going to concentrate his efforts on the 53% of people in the country who are better off than the slacker 47% since the slackers won't vote for him anyway. So if you have lost your house to foreclosure, gone bankrupt because of large medical bills and no health insurance, or lost your job and can't find a new one that pays a living wage, forget about Mitt being interested in helping you out because you aren't going to vote for him anyway. What a guy!

And I believe Molly Ivans, "born on third base and thought he hit a triple."

3. How does one state that sentiment elegantly?

I do say, old boy, you appear to be simply seeking for government largesse and not taking full responsibility for your life. Tut, tut!

5. Good point and if it had been a real "news conference" maybe someone could have asked that.

I am sure Mitt could have come up with and elegant way of saying "go fuck yourself" to the 47%. Maybe, "go have coitus with yourself."

trying to justify why he did something wrong. Mitt kept going and going. He doesn't know when to stop. The debates are going to be great!

8. Wonder how the folks in those Bain ads feel about that "victim" comment?

You know, the entire towns that were destroyed when Mitt Romney came to town... like the guy that built the stage that was used to fire all the workers the next day? The folks from Ampad? Entire towns destroyed by Bain who came in and took huge loans on the town's main employer, sold off the equipment and sent the jobs to China? Those employees would be the "victims" he is talking about.

9. Donald Trump tell Romney: Don't apologize!
Tue Sep 18, 2012, 12:28 PM
Sep 2012

Of course not! Apologies are for people who make mistakes, who say the wrong thing and want to put it right.

Demi-gods like Mitt Romney and the Donald should NEVER apologize.

The Bible that Mitt Romney and Republicans PRETEND to believe in - is it not that SAME Bible that says in Matthew 11:26 AND Mark 14: "The poor will always be with us."

Unless Romney and Republicans, the bestest Christians and lovers of God that ever was, NO LONGER believe in Jesus and his integrity? IF the poor are always going to BE with us, what should we DO with the poor?

Only a small percentage of Americans are as rich as Mitt Romney. Even the middle class is taking a hit, due in large part to Republican policies. Millions of HARD-WORKING AMERICAN FAMILIES depend on subsidized programs - housing, health care, vouchers. THEY would be in serious trouble without these benefits.

Romney supports pouring billions of dollars into the Middle East but we cannot support our American poor - who are NOT rioting in the streets!

I was waiting for somebody to ask Romney to rephrase his remarks in a more "elegant" way. I'd like to hear such elegance COMING FROM Mitt Romney.

10. This whole debacle with the talk made to his peeps in Boca Raton reveals

Just what a sad sack of sh*t Mitt really is. Just look at his Bain record. When it was revealed exactly how he operated at Bain, it was perfectly plain to me (and should have been plain to anyone who read about his business philosophy) that this is a man who will do whatever it takes to "get the job done". That is make a bundle for himself and his buds. If people get hurt in the process, well that's just the price of doing business. You know, collateral damage.

It makes me sick to think of the ethics of this man. And what is even more sickening is to remember the picture that Ann tried to paint of him at the Republican convention. Oh, and the rest of the "good folk" who got up beating the drum for what a good, kind and decent man he is. What must he have been thinking about the folks he helped, even as he "sat by their bedside"?? Hypocrite is too good a term to describe him.

WORST CANDIDATE EVER.

Oh, and one more thing, Mitt. Where are your damn tax returns for the past 10 years??? Inquiring minds want to know.
DO TELL.
