Something on Facebook this morning gave me HOPE!

My daughter-in-law's mom posted on FB this morning how disappointed she is in Romney. Said that 6-8 months ago she "wanted this guy". Now she does not want him. She didn't qualify it in any way. She just said straight out she does not want him now.

This lady has been unemployed, had services for mental health issues, probably has used Food Stamps in the past and other kinds of assistance. So she knows about having to accept "help from the government". She is employed now but is very close to retirement age (late 50s --- early 60s) so is probably anticipating the time when she will be on Social Security and Medicare that she, no doubt, has paid into for her whole working life. These comments from Romney were apparently a punch in the gut to her and were enough to make her rethink her support of Romney.

So the hope comes from the fact that if SHE was willing to post her disappointment on FB in an honest, straight forward way, just think how many are out there who may never say it on a forum like FB but still feel that way!! This makes me a very happy voter today.

Now, if she can just get her point across to my son and daughter-in-law. I have failed to get through to them and have given up on this since it caused a lot of stress in our family. Maybe her MOM can do what I could not, even though I was giving them the same information and arguments about why they should NOT vote for Mitt.

Hope springs eternal......

It will be fascinating to see the polls in the next few days.

NOTHING will. I mean how much more can his campaign take? The curtain has been pulled down and we see what is back there now. If there was any doubt about the disdain he has for the "rest of us" who are not in his circle of friends, that doubt should have been shattered with the release of the talk he gave to his buds in Boca Raton. David Corn says there are more clips to come. I figure if the first one is a nail in the coffin, the rest will just seal it shut, once and for all.

That Romney's recorded comments have insulted the very people who have suffered most during the recent recession and -- until this -- were ready to try someone different in the White House.

Well, Romney can forget that. Any unemployed person has the right to be outraged at Romney's assertion that jobless people and others not paying taxes are nothing but freeloading malingerers.
