... as NFL on Sunday then is a better way to distract voters from seeing how DWS's anointed one isn't what they want.

But many aren't as fortunate to have such hardware in their house, and are forced to watch events like that in bars instead.

And we're talking about trying to attract audiences from people that aren't political junkies like ourselves that are more apt to tune in to events during the week that don't contend with things we're dedicated to watch.

It was really annoying for me as an Iowa fan to have to DVR one of the biggest sports Saturdays in decades the same night they had the debate in Iowa then. That had Iowa setting a win total record that night in a big rivalry game against Minnesota and earlier in the day in the same stadium setting a national attendance record for a college wrestling event there with two of the top three wrestling teams matched against each other then. For most Iowa fans, this "Iowa debate" was more of a distraction then than something that they'd look to tune in on.

It was even a problem in the sports bar where we as a group of Bernie supporters had for a debate watch party there where not only was the debate there, but there was a big Oregon game that most wanted to watch, and who's sound as well as fan noise in the bar drowned out the sound of the debate so that we had to rely on reading closed captioning text of the debate to see what they were saying.

And any BS about them not knowing in advance when such conflicts would happen with sporting events, well, there is a whole slew of football games that always will be in contention that day, and for the Iowa game for the Iowa located debate, well that was the ONE game on Iowa's schedule that they knew in advance would be a night game and would serve as the distraction that DWS wanted on that particular day they wound up scheduling it there for.

And in this Oregon location, not only did I have trouble watching the debate there, but they didn't even have a television in the bar on for the Iowa game then too that I could watch out of the corner of my eye to see what the score was. Had to look for score updates on my cell phone instead.

Okay ... But, honestly ... I doubt you couldn't count more than a few "non-dedicated politics people" that don't have TeVo and/or the internet.

The people that aren't "political junkies" aren't going to watch debates ... regardless of when they are aired.

... with DVR setup. If you think that's not the case, that explains the isolated world that some live in that don't see how the middle class is disappearing these days.

And as I note, even if they do have such hardware, why would they TEVO the game or the debate for watching later? If they are more sports fans, they are more apt to just watch (and perhaps TEVO at the same time to record on a DVD or the like) their favorite football game then. As I noted, some aren't political junkies. Many as independents or not dedicated political people are more apt to want to watch their football game and not be bothered by anything else.

It is those people we are trying to reach to get them to stumble on the debates when there's nothing better for them to watch during the week after they've had dinner. It is those kind of viewers that we can bring in to the political fold if they hear things that they hadn't heard before and might be concerned about then. Those kind of viewers get lost with the kind of debate scheduling we had, and DWS KNOWS that and that was the reason why she scheduled them to avoid getting larger audiences to be more involved politically and help her "anointed" one get nominated through less voter participation by the masses.

It is Republicans who are gaining more of these "accidental" viewers when they have far more debates and have them during the week at times when these accidental viewers are more apt to tune in. WHY do we want to help Republicans get more voters to hear their message and not Democrats? Apparently, DWS in the past has had a history of not wanting to hurt her Republican friends getting elected in Florida, so it's not hard to see how she's more dedicated to getting someone who's a fellow corporatist like she is in Clinton getting elected than helping the party in general grow its ranks and represent more Americans that are in need of representation over the wealthy corporate elites.

Much less a DVR or Tevo.

Yes, people who are not political junkies may channel flip to watch portions of the debate if nothing else is on.

And my point is this is a BS narrative. People inclined to watch the debates, WILL watch the debates, whenever they are aired, because there are just too many options for doing so. Those not inclined to watch the debates WON'T watch the debates, even if it was the only thing on TV, and aired continuously for 72 hours, on all channels.

People make choices based on options. The better the alternatives the less likely they are to choose something.

This rule does not change because it happens to be a political debate.

No seriously, there is nothing on TV on Sunday, so I will watch it. I think it is a big mistake to hide the democratic candidates and it does no one a favor.

Most people are kicking back on Sunday. Most people can watch the thing, if they want to, on Sunday. What are you doing on Sunday! Busy? Don't have time? Don't give a shit?

I'll be watching. So will others who are trying to make up their minds. You won't be watching? Have you watched any of the debates so far? If so, get ready for pretty much the same thing as the others. Watch one, see 'em all.

Give me a break. Sundays are free for most folks. Those who care will watch.
