The Buffet Bill! Lawmakers take BOLD ACTION for the 99%!

The house has undertaken bold action by submitting a symbolic bill that let's us all know the 1% AREN'T PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE! Think of the courage and risk to careeers these lawmakers undertook by signing this symbolic bill that has 0% chance of going anywhere! I can hear the banksters knees knocking as we speak!

Forgive me I'm just too excited! I'vebeen waiting forf YEARS for our elected representatives to take bold, decisive action on behalf of the 99%!

Well it flunked in the Senate, but it's on the record now, just like the Ryan budget vote is. freshwest Apr 2012 #6

Pure symbolism. Who knows if they even believe in it.

This group is "A place for Occupy participants and supporters to promote the values of Occupy Wall Street."

I'm pretty sure you don't qualify.

Straight along party lines, and not enough to go forward and get past a filibuster, which the GOP did to stop it being considered. When you said the House, which is even more full of GOP, I thought perhaps they'd started their own version, but it would have had to come from the GOP speaker there. Since the Democratic 'technically' control the Senate, it got to come to a vote there. The GOP would never let it see the light of day in the House, so that was what was interesting. I didn't think the bagger controlled House would be interested in angering their bosses.
