(36,509 posts)The one I'm going to is in the late afternoon. There are speakers & it ends with a dance. And it's right on the bus line, so I don't even need to transfer!
There's going to be a Flash Mob dance on the Pearl St. Mall in the evening, but that's probably going to be way more people than I like to deal with.
The girl on the right, with the grey & red shirt, looks like she's having fun!

(17,055 posts)Saw Jane Fonda on tv talking ( I think on CNN) about this last night and then saw another board member talking about it (on MSNBC I think).
Thought I'd give this thread a kick to remind people.

Last night Rosario Dawson was on with Lawrence O'Donnell and she said that at some point today at the United Nations all of the staff and delegates would be going outside and dancing in the street to bring attention to the issue of violence against women.
Ann Hathaway was on Jay Leno last night to talk about the violence against women and One Billion Rising and her participation.
The Jane Fonda interview with Robin Meade is a must watch.

It appears the international response is bigger than the US response.

(115,103 posts)I missed the one group rehearsal last weekend cause I was sick, and since I was out sick so much last week, I can't get this afternoon off. So disappointed.
It's going to be so much fun... I hope there are lots of videos posted online. And to anyone who's going, have a blast.

(32,611 posts)was running a live stream from Manila. I have not checked to see if they are running live today.
I edited my post above with the clip of the Jane Fonda interview. She is amazing and looks half her age. She does media so well - guess that comes from practice and being married to the creator of CNN.
