Around here we get what we need (and want) when we need or want them and contribute likewise to our friends' lives throughout the year.

We're having our solstice meal tonight starting off with a nice dry sparkling wine in about 15 minutes!

That's what we do in my family. My mom will ask, what do you want for Christmas, and we'll all think of some things. The other adult members of the family ask each other as well, which is why my brother will be getting the last two books in the Dune series for Christmas, and my mom will be getting a facial cream.

Even before birthdays, we ask each other what we want.

myself in sept. i simply am not that good. EVERYTHING in life must be the last minute. or where is the challenge of fail/success. lol. i inspire to be you, i admire and look in awe. and i inevitably... fail. but, it is cool. this is my battle to endure every year. and then there is tomorrow.

next year. i promise.

However, I manage to maintain a reputation as a good cook.

I'll take the food over all that girly stuff I fail at. Food loves you back. Shoes, makeup and department stores don't.
