I think it is important for us to keep a listing of the women and children killed and abused by their husbands/boyfriends on a daily basis. I know this may be difficult for some and if you cannot participate I fully understand why.
I would like your help to aggregate these stories, if you can. There use to be a site where this was gathered, but it is no longer operable.
I think it is very powerful evidence of an epidemic in our country.
So, if you would like to help, please search the google news for news stories regarding domestic violence and place an entry for the day as a reply.
I will do the first, please try to keep within the format, if possible.

(36,221 posts)Pittsburg County Sheriff, Joel Kern, said the man was shot four times by his dad, who then turned the gun on himself. He said the dispute started when the son spilled Coke in the dad's car.
Kern said the dad, William Gibson, his wife and his son Aaron were at a festival where they were asked to leave for drinking excessively.
The sheriff said during their drive home to the 600 block of Pelican Lane, the son spilled Coke in the car, starting an argument. The argument moved to the son's garage apartment.
Once at home, around 11:30 Friday night, Kern said Gibson began choking his wife, threatening to kill her and his son. Gibson left his son's apartment and went to his home nearby, coming back with a 9 mm pistol, he said.

(5,714 posts)Police detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a Phoenix woman early Saturday afternoon.
Police and fire personnel arriving in the area of 13200 N. 17th Avenue found the body of Shannon Leshin, 48, in a home with a stab wound to her upper body.
Leshin was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness told police Leshin was last seen Friday afternoon. When the witness arrived at the home late Friday, Leshin's ex-boyfriend, Gary Michaels, 55, was there, said Phoenix police Officer James Holmes.
The witness said Leshin had recently broken off the relationship with Michaels.

The King County sheriff's office says the wounded man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.
KIRO reports the incident began about 7 p.m. Sunday and involved a woman who escaped the residence. The man refused to come out and fired shots later Sunday night that hit parked cars.
Deputies returned fire and hit the man. The sheriff's office said he died Monday morning at the hospital.

Infamous Alaska serial killer Robert Hansen died Thursday morning at an Anchorage hospital, according to the Department of Corrections.
Hansen died around 1:30 a.m. at Alaska Regional Hospital, Sherrie Daigle, deputy director of administrative services for the Department of Corrections, said. He had been transferred to the hospital on Wednesday. Cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, but it appears he died of natural causes, she said. He had been in declining health for the past year, according to a press release.
“On this day we should only remember his many victims and all of their families and my heart goes out to all of them,” wrote Glenn Flothe, retired Alaska State Trooper who was instrumental in Hansen’s capture.
“As far as Hansen is concerned, this world is better without him.” Flothe wrote. “It’s a sad day for me, for their families.”
Hansen had been moved from the Spring Creek Correctional Center in Seward to the Anchorage Correctional Complex on May 11, Alaska Dispatch reported at the time. Hansen, 75, had been placed in medical segregation in Anchorage, which is akin to being in the hospital, Daigle said then. Anchorage’s jail is one of the state’s only correctional facilities with a medical unit.
Hansen had received a 461-year sentence in February 1984, pleading guilty to the murder of four women. Hansen had confessed to authorities that he had killed 17 women and raped another 30 women over more than a decade.

(36,221 posts)Police went to a residence in the 700 block of Central Avenue after they received a report about a man who threatened to kill his wife, two daughters and himself, Capt. Jeff Troendly said.
Soon after police arrived, they heard a gunshot inside the house and saw a female through a window in the home.
The woman, who turned out to be the man’s wife, was removed from the house through the window, Troendly said.
The woman, who had facial injuries, said she was shot in the hand during a struggle with her husband for a gun and said her husband was the only one in the house, Troendly said.
Police heard another gunshot a few minutes after the man’s wife was taken from the house.

He has been playing for San Francisco since he was drafted as a third round pick in 2007.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced tougher penalties last week for players accused of domestic violence.
San Francisco 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke said in a statement Sunday that the team takes "such matters" seriously but is not commenting on the allegations involving McDonald without more information.

I ask this as someone whose mother drank excessively for years, and endured many nights of being, at a minimum, screamed at for hours over the slightest trigger. I would really like an answer to this question.
There are just as many bad mothers as there are bad fathers. Domestic abuse/violence is a serious issue, and this thread was very poorly thought out.
Men-are-bad style feminism has NO place in the subject of domestic abuse and violence.

Everyone understands that domestic violence can and does happen to men.
Women are killed more often, and beaten into a pulp beyond recognition more often.
I think it's an important distinction and something we can discuss here without being derailed, and be allowed to focus on the issue from a womans perspective.

(36,221 posts)The Sampson County Sheriff's Office says a 55-year-old woman was killed Friday by her estranged husband, sparking a manhunt that led to schools in two districts being put on lock down.
The sheriff's office said the body of Shirley Garcia, of Newton Grove, was discovered in the home of her employer Friday around 10 a.m. in the 4900 block of Old Warsaw Rd. in Clinton.
Shirley Garcia's estranged husband, 67-year-old Carmelo Garcia, was quickly named a suspect and a manhunt ensued to locate him.
During the course of the search for Carmelo Garcia, deputies said threats were made against other family members of Shirley Garcia, sparking lock downs at schools in the Hobbton and Midway Districts.
The sheriff's office said Carmelo Garcia was located shortly after 11 a.m. at 611 Henry Vann Farm Road, where it is believed he took his own life.

CLEVELAND - A 28-year-old Cleveland woman is dead after, police say, her ex-boyfriend shot her multiple times.
Police arrested 32-year-old Alberto Medina in the shooting death of Malorie Ferrell, a mother of three.
A friend of Ferrell's told newsnet5.com's Deb Lee that Medina beat Ferrell with a rubber mallet on August 8 in front of her kids, ages 1, 5 and 8.
According to Cleveland Municipal Court records, Medina was out on bond for a prior domestic violence charge when Ferrell was killed....

Inside deputies found the bodies of 46-year-old James "Kevin" Denny and his wife, 41-year-old Jennifer Denny. He was director of planning and zoning in Hardee County.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says Kevin Denny called 911 and calmly asked deputies to come to the home. He didn't hang up, but put the phone on the bed and fired one more shot. The dispatcher heard the couple's daughter banging on the door "asking for her mommy and daddy."

She was in the driveway of their Madeira home when Blake Seylhouwer is accused of firing a hunting rifle in her direction. The shot hit the driveway and sent concrete "shrapnel" into the air, wounding her leg, stomach and forehead. She was treated by and released from the hospital the same day.
Blake Seylhouwer hosts the talk show "Small Business Sunday" on WKRC-AM (550). He's been ordered to stay away from his wife and their two daughters.

Officers responded to the parking lot of a Walgreens Pharmacy on Old Glenn Highway in Eagle River and found the body of Linda Anne Martz Bower in the back seat of a Mercedes-Benz.

She said the trauma of the experience and the way she was treated by the guard led to a suicide attempt in 2011. She got counseling that same year and continues to get counseling today, said Jones, now a sergeant with the Illinois National Guard.
Jones said she and a large group of Alaska National Guard peers were at an Anchorage bar in 2007 when someone slipped something into her drink. She was incapacitated when she was sexually assaulted later at her apartment, and has no idea who her attacker or attackers were, she said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky teenager was killed in his home after trying to protect his mother from her estranged boyfriend, and the woman was abducted and later found dead in Ohio during a multistate police search, a sheriff said Friday.
The suspect, Terry Froman, 41, of Brookport, Ill., was taken into custody in the Cincinnati area and faced murder and kidnapping charges back in Kentucky, said Dewayne Redmon, the sheriff in Graves County in Western Kentucky. The suspect was taken to a hospital to be examined, he said.
Froman's vehicle was stopped by Ohio authorities, who found 34-year-old Kim Thomas dead inside, the sheriff said.
Earlier Friday, authorities found the body of her 17-year-old son, Michael Mahoney, in the front part of their home in Mayfield, Ky., Redmon said. There were signs of a struggle, he said....

The RCMP released a report in the spring highlighting 1,181 cases involving aboriginal women since 1980. Their findings showed aboriginal women made up 4.3 per cent of the Canadian population, but accounted for 16 per cent of female homicides, and 11.3 per cent of missing women.

(41,989 posts)Cheyenne Fox’s family alleges Toronto police didn’t properly respond to two 911 calls prior to Fox’s death April 25, 2013 when she fell to her death from a 24th floor balcony of a Toronto condo according to a statement of claim filed in Peterborough court Friday and obtained by APTN National News.
None of the allegations have been proven in court and all defendents, including Toronto police, are expected to be served Monday.
The family also name, for the first time, the man last with Fox in the narrative obtained from the claim.
Fox died at about 11 p.m. that night, but the first 911 call came in at approximately 6 p.m. from someone who witnessed Fox jump from a moving taxicab on Highway 401.
It’s alleged she lept from the “still moving” cab because the driver was sexually assaulting her.
Two people stopped and picked her up on the side of the highway.
The document states they drove Fox to her destination at 80 Harrison Blvd. to meet an alleged “custumer” as she was working as a sex worker, potentially forced into it by a human trafficking ring.
The second 911 call came about two hours later at 8 p.m.
It was by the man she allegedly was going to meet – Bahram Sheibani, also named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
Sheibani resided at unit 2419 of the Don Mills condo building and he allegedly called police upon Fox’s arrival who he claimed was intoxicated, trespassing and refusing to leave his place.

A twisted Jong Lee, 50, wrote of the angst behind killing his wife, Sung Lee, 54, and son, Brian Lee, 15, in a letter to a relative that police found at the tragic scene in sixth-story apartment in Flushing, a law enforcement source said.
“If I died by myself it would be too much problems for my wife and kid,” Lee wrote, according to the source. “Therefore, we are all leaving. Please understand.”

(36,221 posts)Authorities say a man murdered his ex-wife, then killed himself, right on a sidewalk in front of stunned neighbors. It happened Sunday morning on a normally quiet East Allentown block.
The Lehigh County coroner said Mouwaffak Mahkoul, 51, shot himself to death after killing his former spouse, Etab Mahkoul, 36.
The killings happened in the 1900 block of Greenleaf Street, just outside the home Etab Mahkoul shared with her son and a young family of tenants.
"I was coming up Union Boulevard and I heard two gunshots and then another one went off," said Leon Wagner, who lives nearby.

The 28-year-old father is suspected of killing the woman before his grisly suicide attempt on U.S. Route 20 in Pittsfield Township in Lorain County. He is in critical condition and under police watch at MetroHealth Medical Center.

(41,989 posts)OLYMPIA — A man who poured lighter fluid on his wife’s legs and set her on fire was sentenced Tuesday in Olympia to more than six years in prison.
It was the second sentencing for Duane M. Rader who had a previous 10-year sentence for arson and assault overturned on appeal.
The Olympian reports Rader pleaded guilty to the same charges. His wife suffered second-degree burns in the assault three years ago at their Thurston County home.
Rader has been at the Airway Heights Corrections Center since his 2011 trial. His lawyer, Patrick O’Connor, says the 15-year Army veteran who had three overseas tours used alcohol to self-medicate post-traumatic stress disorder.

The ex-boyfriend of a 28-year-old Kirkland mother who was found strangled in January was charged today with second-degree murder.
Before the body of Amy Rene Hargrove was found Jan. 6 in her mother’s Kirkland home, she had taken out a protection order pointing police to her ex-boyfriend in the event anything happened to her. “A piece of paper isn’t going to save my life when he finally gets me,” she wrote in the court document, “but at least you will know who killed me.”
The former boyfriend, Burrell M. Cushman, 28, was interviewed by detectives immediately after Hargrove’s slaying. Kirkland police said Cushman was considered a person of interest, but the investigation continued for months.
Kirkland police had previously said investigators were frustrated with the length of time it took to make an arrest, but that certain elements of their probe could not be rushed.
Police spokesman Mike Murray said detectives had to eliminate other potential suspects as well as wait for the results of crime lab tests before they could submit the completed investigation to King County prosecutors.

A judge found probable cause on Tuesday to hold a 41-year-old Burien man on investigation of second-degree murder after he told Seattle police late Sunday that he though his ex-wife was dead and that her body was in a vehicle at a Kent Park and Ride.
The man waived his first court appearance Tuesday and a bond hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, according to a spokesman for King County prosecutors. The man has not been charged.
Also Tuesday, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 39-year-old Ruth Castillo-Yanez. She died from multiple stab wounds and her death was ruled a homicide, according to death investigators.
Around 10:20 p.m. Sunday, police contacted a man in the 4700 block of 50th Avenue South in Seattle’s Seward Park neighborhood, according to the probable-cause statement outlining the case against him. His clothes were bloody and his shirt was inside-out, the statement says.

MIAMI (WSVN) -- The ex-boyfriend of a missing woman, Tanya Gonzalez, stabbed himself after sheriff deputies located him on Big Coppitt Key.
Family members and 7News sources said the body of the missing 28-year-old was found in the trunk of her abandoned car in Miami, Tuesday morning. Police, however, have not confirmed that information, and on Wednesday morning, they said they were still working to positively identify the body. "At this moment our medical examiner is still analyzing all the evidence," said Miami Police Sgt. Freddie Cruz. "We do know we have a body. We're still trying to find out who it belongs to. We have not confirmed that this is the body of Tanya Gonzalez."
Tuesday evening, the woman's father spoke out about the pain of his loss. Ramon Gonzalez said, "I want to thank everybody who tried to find my baby, but we find her, and I want to thank everybody, and I tell every parent, hug your kids today," he said tearing up. "Hug them tomorrow. Teach them, keep them safe, keep them safe. Give them a lot of hugs and kisses. We live on borrowed time. You never think this will happen to you, look where I am. Love each other, love your babies. Take care of them very much."
According to Monroe County Sheriff's deputies, 33-year-old Roy Blanco, who was wanted as a person of interest in Gonzalez's disappearance about a week ago, was in the Florida Keys with a woman who is believed to be his mother. They closed in on him just before 3 p.m....

Authorities depicted a stormy relationship between Dwyer and the woman that escalated into violence on July 21, four days before the Cardinals reported to training camp.

"She said she was in an argument on the phone only," Crump said.

The few reports about the story have cited the women’s criminal records (neither of which are worth mentioning here). Ball’s sister, Crystal Moore told ABC Action News that the two women were close friends and had been working in the Jacksonville area as exotic dancers.
Heartbreakingly, Ball’s mother Jerlean Moore told ABC "I feel like sometimes that I failed. What could I have done? What could I have taught her better?”
It isn’t unreasonable to expect for a grieving family to wish that their dead loved one hadn’t worked in the sex industry, one where women are often subject to increased abuse and harassment at the hands of clients, employers and law enforcement alike. Thus, there should be no judgment from any of us about Ball’s lament about her daughter’s work. But what I fear will happen here is a general sentiment among media makers and the public that because these women were sex workers, that their deaths are not cause for outrage and fear.

CHICKASHA — The boyfriend of a dead Chickasha woman confessed to shooting her while she slept, saying he wanted to move back to California, but she wouldn’t let him, authorities said.
Lofton Gray Jr., 31, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder. His girlfriend, Amanda Cecil, 24, was found dead Sept. 5 inside the Chickasha home they shared. She was shot in the head, authorities said.
Authorities were told Gray was anti-government and recently started acting strangely, according to a court affidavit filed Thursday. He also had been physically abusive toward Cecil, according to the affidavit.
Cecil’s boss called family and friends in an attempt to locate her when she did not show up for work on Sept. 5, court records show. A family friend and Cecil’s sister went to Cecil’s home and found her body lying on the floor next to the bed....

Police say Laudrinha Kubeloso, 32, was hit from behind by a dark blue SUV Tuesday afternoon as she was walking home from her English language class in Lewiston.
While the driver fled the scene on Howe Street, police learned it belonged to Kubeloso's boyfriend, Evaristo Deus, 33.
He was arrested and charged with murder Wednesday morning at JFK airport in New York. He was found on a plane that was about to leave for Haiti....

Estranged husband arrested in Flower Mound murder

FLOWER MOUND -- Police arrested Daniel Fink , 40, Thursday for the murder of his estranged wife, Aide Fink.
The 50-year-old woman was found with multiple gunshot wounds just after midnight Thursday inside a house on Heather Glen Drive near Glenwick Boulevard. Police say a 16-year-old inside the home called 911.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she died.
The woman's three children, ages 7, 11 and 16, were inside the house at the time of the shooting. They weren't injured and are now with Child Protective Services until relatives arrive from out of state....

Daughter: Allenport woman shot to death by estranged husband feared him

Neighbors said they heard regular arguments during the past few months at an Allenport woman's home where state police believe her estranged husband shot and killed her on Tuesday night.
“There's been domestic violence there with those two ongoing,” said neighbor Phyllis Lazzari. “Something needs to be done, because this is the result.”
Lazzari and other neighbors heard a gunshot around 9 p.m. and rushed to help Jeanne S. Bennati, 51, who was lying on Locust Street. But it was too late, they said. Bennati was pronounced dead by Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco in front of her neatly kept red brick home.
Investigators believe Bennati was shot in the head by her estranged husband, Ryan Lee Foster, 42....

(19,964 posts)Midland police said they are treating the death of a woman found Tuesday morning on Kansas Avenue as a potential homicide. Midland Police Department also said the woman’s live-in boyfriend has been identified as the primary suspect in her death.
The children of 36-year-old Stephanie Turner found their mother dead, according to MPD. They told an acquaintance who had come to their house, in the 3100 block of West Kansas, that their mother died, and the acquaintance then called police around 9:14 a.m. to report that he had found Turner’s body.
Midland police are looking for 39-year-old Leeroy Laney, who is reported to have been Turner’s live-in boyfriend. According to police, Laney -- who has not been charged -- has an extensive police record and he was last seen driving a black 2007 Ford Edge SUV....

DeKalb County police are investigating a fatal shooting that took the life of woman.
The shooting happened Sunday night near the 5400 block of Biffle Downs Road in Stone Mountain.
Officers said a call came in around 10:30 p.m. reporting a woman shot. An ambulance rushed the victim to an area hospital, where she later died.

WILLARD, Missouri — The Greene County Sheriff's Office says the death of a woman and her estranged husband was a murder-suicide.
Sheriff Jim Arnott said in a news release that deputies found 48-year-old Sandra Pendergrass lying dead on a road in Willard Monday evening. She had suffered severe head trauma and a gunshot wound.
During the investigation of her death, the body of 48-year-old Todd Pendergrass was found in Dade County near Everton. Arnott says Pendergrass shot himself.
Arnott says that before he killed himself, Todd Pendergrass confessed to his daughter and brother that he had killed his wife.

A woman was stabbed to death in a Jersey City home this morning in an apparent domestic violence dispute, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino confirmed, and the man suspected of killing her has turned himself in.
The man was picked up by police at Central and Hutton avenues at 2:55 a.m. as he was walking to the North District precinct to turn himself into police, according to police radio transmissions.
The man had blood on his hands when he was picked up, according to the transmissions, which also noted that he said he left the knife at the apartment at 3328 Kennedy Blvd.
Moments later police busted down the door at 3328 Kennedy Blvd. and found the woman stabbed, according to the police transmission. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:04 a.m....

HOUMA, La. (WGNO) - Police have identified a body found under a home in Houma Friday as 22-year-old Dashanta Brown.
Investigators say Brown’s boyfriend, Michael Tucker, 41, has been arrested in her death. They say the two got into an argument during the early morning hours which resulted in a physical altercation.
Brown’s exact cause of death is still unknown at this time, but Tucker has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder.
Officers were called to the home in the 300 block of Columbus Street around 1 a.m....

Boyfriend charged with murder in death of woman found in sinkhole

A Somerset man has been jailed on a murder charge in the death of his girlfriend, whose body was found in a sinkhole in Pulaski County.
Johnny Ray Hendrix, 35, of Somerset, was arrested late Wednesday night at a home in Leslie County and was taken to Pulaski County on a murder warrant, the Pulaski sheriff's department said.
He is being held in the Pulaski County jail, charged with murder and fourth-degree assault, according to the jail. Bond is set at $500,000.
Authorities sought Hendrix after finding the body of Monica Wells, 34, earlier Wednesday in a sinkhole in a Pulaski County wooded area....

...The discovery was a grim end to the search for Greenlee, a woman who relatives said had left her troubled relationship with Ferrero only to return to him with the hope that they might become a family.
“She was trying to get the relationship to work because of the baby,” said Estellia Sheridan, a cousin of Greenlee’s. “She was so happy about the baby.”
Ferrero, who has “every path has a different outcome” tattooed on his chest, is in custody and has been charged with murder and aggravated arson. He is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court this morning. His 23rd birthday is on Saturday.
Detectives said in arrest documents that Ferrero killed Greenlee on Oct. 8 at their apartment at 5169 Brambury Circle, near Norton Road and Sullivant Avenue on the West Side.

Channel 9 has learned a woman tried to file a restraining order days before her ex-boyfriend was accused of killing her and her mother at an Ocala apartment complex.
The suspect, Ricardo de Jesus Barrera, 54, is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend 34-year-old Bonnie Motto and her mother, 67-year-old Julia Motto, at the Springwood Village Apartments on Southeast 25th Street.
"I knew, I knew they were dead. I knew at least my wife and daughter were dead," said Bill Motto, the father of Bonnie Motto and husband of Julia Motto. "He's a lunatic. She should've known better. But where could she hide?"

WARREN, MI -- Warren police suspect 37-year-old Scott Wobbe of Westland killed his girlfriend, 22-year-old Theresa DeKeyzer of Warren, and hid her body in a 55-gallon drum, corked it with concrete and placed inside a trailer parked in Plymouth months ago.
Already a suspect, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office officially charged Wobbe, who's been jailed on a probation violation in Midland County, with first-degree murder, kidnapping and dismemberment or mutilation of a body. He was arraigned and held without bond Tuesday morning.
Based on a tip, investigators searched a trailer in a Plymouth storage facility on Sept. 18 and located what turned out to be DeKeyzer's remains in a metal barrel...

WALHALLA, South Carolina — Authorities say a Walhalla man faces a murder charge in the strangulation death of his girlfriend.
The Oconee County Sheriff's office tells area media outlets that the body of 27-year-old Alana Concetta Carpenter was found Monday at a house in Walhalla.
Authorities originally thought she had died of an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs. But an autopsy showed she had been strangled.
Authorities said Wednesday that 30-year-old Caleb Nathanael Linart has been charged with murder. Linart lives in the house where Carpenter was found.... MORE

Husband Allegedly Shot Wife in Murder-Suicide at San Clemente Boutique
A husband is believed to have shot and killed his wife in a murder-suicide at a high-end boutique in downtown San Clemente, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Department news release Sunday.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Bliss Clothing Boutique at 167 Avenida Del Mar (map) Saturday afternoon.
Responding officers discovered a man and woman’s bodies along with a handgun and did not actively search for anyone else involved.
A sheriff’s department news release Sunday identified the man as 59-year-old John Patrick Dillard and the woman as his wife, 64-year-old Cynthia Jean Rosier.... MORE at link provided above.

LIthonia man shoots, kills wife before turning gun on himself

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -
A husband shot and killed his wife in Lithonia Saturday afternoon, according to DeKalb County police.
Officers responded to a shooting call at a home on Tunbridge Wells Road around 6 p.m. They found a woman inside her car. The sedan had rammed into the garage door.
Officers found her husband inside the home. He died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police said they believe when the wife pulled into the driveway, she was met by her husband. He shot her before going back into the home....

The couple’s children, ages 16 and 11, were outside the house when police arrived, according to homicide Lt. Ray Steiber. They said their parents had been fighting.

ORLANDO Fla. (Reuters) - A Florida father shot his three children, killing two, before fatally shooting himself early on Friday following a fight with his wife, law-enforcement officials said.
David Mohney, 52, fired off shots from a handgun after his wife fled to a neighbor’s house to seek help, according to a statement from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies found the couple's son, also named David Mohney, 11, dead at the scene. Savanna Mohney, 14, and the elder David Mohney were pronounced dead at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, the statement said...

A husband shot and killed his wife before taking his own life at a home in southeast Houston.
Police were called to the house in the 9500 block on Gardenbridge Sunday morning after getting a phone call from the couple's children.
There were four children in the home, between the ages of 1 and 19, who found their parents' bodies in the master bedroom. The children told police their parents had been arguing and took it behind closed doors before the shooting.... MORE at link provided above.

Man kills wife outside Allentown home, commits suicide

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, police say a man in his 40s shot his wife, also in her 40s in the middle of the street and then took his own life.
Police were originally called to 45 College Street in Allentown on reports of a domestic disturbance late Monday night.
"We believe we did everything proper with the reports. The suspect was gone at the time. He apparently returned this morning and after the female told him she was moving back to Florida, we believe he killed her and then killed himself," Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said...
