Okay, that was weird. I clicked on a post, and suddenly I had to log in again,

even though I had not logged out.

It could have just been your time... that said, we have noticed a couple of glitches since we restored our backup the other day, so it could be something to do with that. I guess we'll have to see if other people report the same thing, or if it happens again...

Will keep an eye on things. Fingers crossed that there are no serious problems from the failed update.

When I look at some 1000 or more history items, I go and clear history, which depending on the browser, clears cookies and data from the browser. I then have to log back in to sites. Cookies keep you logged in.

I've seen people go into "private" or "incognito" browsing mode accidentally, which also clears cookies when a tab is closed.

It's not hard to do by accident on a phone.

On an iphone, you can do it by accidentally tapping the two overlapping squares at the bottom right of the screen.

Just things to watch for. "just in case"
