New here and never even lurked. I've spent the last five years or so fighting the good fight on the political sections of some car forums. It's very educational and a good way to hone your debating skills when you are literally outnumbered about 100-1 by far right wingnuts.

Seriously, most of them are just a bunch of keyboard commandos who live in fear instead of hope.

I'm not registered with any political party, but definitely lean left, especially on social issues. I'm close to 60 years old and have always had an interest in politics. I'm looking forward to checking in here on a regular basis and making some friends.
