Hello from Richmond, VA

I joined a long time ago and never visited this forum.

I'm a proud liberal patriot, and have enjoyed the discussions on the elections so far.

My first volunteer work was with Nick Galifiankis running for the senate from NC in 1972. He ran against Jesse Helms and unfortunately lost.

I was a senior in high school and everybody in my high school loved good old Jesse Helms except me. My dad liked Jesse too, and didn't take too kindly to me referring to Helms as a crackpot.

Some years later, I was a volunteer on the first Clinton campaign. I canvassed for Obama in 2008 and this cycle my participation has been limited to giving money. I've got a job that has me out of town a lot.

Howdy do, y'all! I'm looking forward to a good, blue Tuesday next week!
