I am that person. I reported it several times to Admins, who tried but were unable to fix it for me.

When I went to another computer, my iPhone, or my iPad, I was able to leave comments. I also found, quite by accident, that a different browser on the same computer allowed me to leave comments.

I had the problem on Firefox for Mac. My Safari was able to leave comments. Others reported similar issues - different browsers allowing comments or not - on both Macs and PCs. There was an anciet thread on it from back when Help and Meta were the same forum.

I have since upgraded all my browsers and the issue went away.

I would suggest anyone having such an issue try disabling browser plug-ins and also try switching on and off various browser settings.

Again, it was never discovered exactly what caused my issues, but they're gone now.
