Looks like the gun trolls are out in force today on DU, and I think I know why

They love to pretend how they're deeply concerned lifelong Democrats, just trying to help, but threads like these put the lie to that.

Here's one from a couple years back: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1135093_index.html

and now here's a fresh one, from just this week, that's now NINE pages long, and counting: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1814089_DU_discusses_how_they_are_going_to_confiscate_all_guns_from_American_citizens.html&page=1

Gun humpers on ar-15.com care about DU, and disrespect liberals, progressives, and Democrats in general. That second link proves this is still the case.

If a poster only cares about one issue, being pro-guns, they're a gun troll. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc.

DU's admins do ban gun trolls, when they can be bothered, but they haven't bothered in awhile...

self proclaimed progressive advocate of gun control if they don't prioritize gun control in voting. As the President noted, as long as we don't show the same commitment to gun control in our voting that the pro-2a folks do, the results will only be more of the same.

Clusters of them, with small amounts of postings---practically all of them about guns.

Years ago, I was suspicious of such practices. I lost all suspicion (or interest) a long time ago---it's just how the pro-gun militants infiltrate a Democratic site.

Each time there is a massacre and a subsequent discussion (so, every week or so) it's the same names. There are a few names with tens of thousands of posts, and then dozens with 400-500. Same ones every time, and all of them saying the same things WITH THE SAME WORDS!

The DU gun enthusiast numbers aren't sufficiently high for somebody, so a call goes out, and a new crop of them turns up, spewing the same bullshit. The only thing that's changed is that they all used to swear they were loyal, life-long Democrats---now, most of them don't even bother with that. I guess the forum administrators are OK with it, because it's been going on for years.
