Today is the feast of the Epiphany.
"We three kings from Orient are; Bearing gifts we travel afar."
In his homily our priest inferred that the Magi visited the child Jesus two years after the birth of the child.
I don't know about that.
Surely, the Holy Family would not still be living in a stable two years after the birth of Christ, nor did the priest infer that they were.
After all, Joseph had a marketable skill - carpentry.
Does anyone out there have more insight into the timing of the coming of the Three Kings?

but maybe the Internet Sacred Text Archive site has something on these varying stories. Or there will be someone else along that knows this stuff far better than I
