of NC. Asheville. But there were MANY others & over 500 waterfalls in the region.

The only thing I don't miss is seeing all the dying pine (Hemlock & White Pine) trees. It was quite sad. Another victim of climate change...But its still a beautiful place & if you ever get the chance to go, you'll not regret it.

Now I'm in Ohio. Its not lacking in rivers, but its lacking in access to them. But most are too algaed up in the summer anyways, making them unsafe...bleh. Big Ag sucks...

More info than you asked for, I bet!

Where is yours?

I love geography. A cousin lives in Asheville, and hope to get there some time. Attended college in Ohio (Miami,) and have family, inlaws, around Dayton now.

Mine is Patuxent, in MD; I'm in southern MD, near the Chesapeake. We have big at problems too.

Despite the problems, you must love living in such a beautiful place. That's still close to all the action.

Some pics of mine in Photography group. And yes, close to the action. Retired now, used to live in DC, in the middle of the action! And awaiting Cherry Blossoms! Watch my updates, in DC!
