Memorial Day 2013

I created a blog post, which includes a few videos, that those who frequent this group may appreciate.

"So while we honor and remember the sacrifice of those who have passed and consider what it means to be a patriot and a citizen and how we can best support those who serve, I believe it’s important to bring some celebration to this day — not in the form of picnics and fireworks and department store sales which commercialize and diminish the meaning of Memorial Day — but in the form of joyful reunions and acknowledgment of the ongoing service, not only by our military men and women, but the service of their families. And let us not forget the service of our four-legged military personnel as well."
