"45 Years," "Youth"

Two movies for adult. No kids telling their parents what to do. Excellent material and excellent cast.

"45 years" - if anyone saw it, would like to hear about the secret without spoiling for others that, frankly, it was my spouse who pointed it.

The two lead actors were really good but I thought the story was weak. I also didn't care too much about the two leads. I need to care about the characters for me to really like a film.

Secret? About the dude's dead lover?

I started to watch Youth but haven't finished it. It was a little boring for me. Good cast, though.

even though it was revealed on some reviews

His dead lover was pregnant. All his wife knew was that he had a girl friend who died in an accident. She later realized that up in the attic he had a shire for her. Kept all the travel diaries, may photos and in one of them she realized the girl was pregnant.

She felt that her whole marriage was a sham.

I noticed she was pregnant in one of the photos shown during the slideshow.

I just thought it was going to be a better movie. Tom Courtenay was better than Charlotte Rampling, imo, and Rampling got nominated and Courtenay did not.
