My favorite line: "This is my happening and it freaks me out!"

Truly a classic, unintentionally hilarious movie. And having Roger Ebert as the writer just makes it that much more delish.

On edit: It's not a bad movie, just kind of juvenile.

It has the lamest ending in all of moviedom.

Barbara Eden is smoking hot in it, and it's just one of those all the hypocritical assholes pay for being hypocritical assholes type of movies that doesn't require much thinking.

I know it's got raygun in it and a minstrel number but pretty good story and some good songs even if it is a touch jingoistic.

It has everything: Murderous gray gorillas, a talking brown gorilla named Amy, Joe Don Baker, Laura Linney, the curly-haired plastic surgeon from "Nip/Tuck," Tim Curry as a Romanian named Herkimer Hromulka, Ernie Hudson at his most suave, a killer hippo, a volcano, enormous diamonds, ground-to-air missiles, parachutes, satellites, and much, much more. Truly, it has to be seen to be believed. I love it dearly!

It's so wonderfully silly-stupid, it remains a cult classic! The low-budget props are worth laughing about.

ps: I have a cousin who is in "Showgirls". I never saw the movie. Heh!

I like "The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" as well.

Yes, it's a tangled mess of a film about nuclear war. But if one forgives Mare's horrible mullet haircut, it's an utterly captivating film. It is such a mess that one cannot take ones eyes off of it. It's very low budget; it was all filmed in the area of LA mentioned in the title.

Pluses: John Agar has a role. Denise Crosby, too. Plus, many outrageous characters.

I want to go to Johnnie's for late night breakfast, as long as no trombone players show up.
