Support Chuy Garcia via Democracy For America

I want to share a part of a letter that Howard Dean sent me personally*.

When I ran for president in 2004, I told supporters in my stump speech that I represented the "Democratic wing of the Democratic Party" -- a line inspired by Paul Wellstone that captured the spirit of my grassroots campaign.
Jesús "Chuy" García is running a similar people-powered campaign in Chicago and that's why I am proud to announce that I am endorsing him as the progressive choice to be Chicago's next mayor.
Chuy García brings years of experience standing up for the people of Chicago. He worked with Harold Washington, Chicago’s reform mayor, to clean up Chicago in the 1980s. He also served alongside a then-unknown Illinois State Senator, Barack Obama, in the 1990s. In that time Chuy García fought for better schools and neighborhood services while developing the leadership skills required to lead Chicago in the 21st century.
As mayor, Chuy García will focus on the needs of Chicago's working and middle class. He'll work to improve public schools and take a community-oriented approach to ending the violence in Chicago's neighborhoods. Chuy García will put the people first, not the 1%.

We need to support progressive Democratic candidates via organizations like Democracy For America. Support Chuy Garcia, support DFA.

EW is full of angry words and then Chuy is the people's candidate, Go Chuy

But then I am highly suspicious.

Dean is way way wrong about EW.

In my opinion if the candidate's words are not full of anger either they are a wealthy insider or they're out of touch.

Perhaps he feels he can't be "too radical" to be appointed there, and perhaps those words aren't what he really means but just a way to get his hands on the controls again of the DNC where he did some good before DWS incrementally destroyed it and the party she "helped" to fail in 2014.

Rahm is safer to go after as I think t he party establishment wants to cast him off now as being too toxic.

I think Jim is more the dominant influence right now and he is less tied to the establishment.

is the root of this statement, what does this say about Dean's enduring principles?

If Dean is a multiple personality, how do we retrieve the Populist Dean of yore?

but when it comes right down to a war, there are really only two sides. Mr. Dean will have to make up his mind. Some will see the Populist Movement as weakening the Democratic Party and will resist, hoping for some comfort from the status quo. Granted the Corporatist run Democratic Party is stronger, but just killing us slower. Our founders could have tried to work within the system to bring about changes they could have lived with but they chose to make a break. I think that's where we are now. One has to choose between Corporatism or Populism.

Dean won't be the only politician that will struggle with this choice.

Our founders could have tried to work within the system to bring about changes they could have lived with but they chose to make a break. I think that's where we are now. One has to choose between Corporatism or Populism.

The capitalist elitist in the 1920's drained the 99% until they were starving in the streets before a group of elites decided that it wasn't humane and brought about reforms. How far will the current corporatist leaders let us sink before someone steps in? I believe there will be blood shed first. I don't condone violence but it's inevitable.
