Sanjay Gupta is doing a weed special tonight on CNN, Weed 3

In it, he completes his evolution, saying he favors the national legalization of marijuana. He says the success stories are too great to ignore, including people like Charlotte, the little girl who was having 300 seizures a month and inspired the Charlotte;'s Web strain, which has her down to only 2 / month.

Now he needs to evolve a bit more and support recreational use, too.....but he's a doctor, so what he has to say about recreational use is less important than what he says about medical use.

Feeling good is a desired medicinal effect because it relieves stress, and choosing a non-toxic, not synthetic means to that end is a smart choice.

Recreational, medicinal... Same thing really.

"We have to follow the science, not ideology." Well, that's fine as far as it goes, but I would have preferred a response like Sen Booker or Sen Gillibrand's. And Booker is a real straight arrow who doesn't even drink, so his work on legalization is especially notable.

The Status Quo is maintained....because "science" that is already there shall not be trusted...I need to review blah, blah, blah.
De-Schedule from the Federal CSA.

Schedule II will still allow far too many to be caged for consumption.
The science is There, what we are Missing is Logic and a Common Sense Approach (and a brass set to take on corporate money) from our elected officials.

the inevitable being legalization. Gupta surely had more and edited it so sharply to make that point.

...one after the other, which I suspect was out of fear of losing our attention. Had not MADMEN been playing on the other channel, it might have worked for me. I had to choose between sitting there like a good 'choirboy' or firing up a fat one to fully enjoy the long forgotten targets of the social revolution.

One item I remember from CNN was a scientist saying that, in its defense, "...pot suppresses dream recall."

Since I highly value the 'dream state', this is a dilemma. But I lean toward 'feeling good while awake'.

admit they were wrong and then work to change the wrong. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Gupta. How unlike our last 3 hypocritical presidents who admitted to smoking recreationally.
