Grow your own medicine!I made this in honor of 4/20:

This is a personal medical grow that is legal in California. My hope is to make cannabis oil, butter, and vape the flowers to help with sleep and as a cancer preventative.
Ended up with 3 Northern Lights Autos (I put one outside) and 2 Fast & Vast Autos out of 6 Soaked for about 15 hours and then straight into 3 gallon fabric pots at about 1/2 inch deep. I kept the top layer moist but not too moist until they sprouted.
Northern Lights Autoflower:

Soil:
50/50 mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Happy Frog with a Happy Frog core in 3 gallon fabric pots. I added about 2 inches of perlite at the bottom of the pots first for drainage.
Lights:
For early veg: 2 - 2' x 4 bulb T5HO fixtures on 20/4 light cycle.
For veg/flower:
Mars Hydro 2 900w LED on an 20/4 light cycle.
Space:
Grow space about 30"x30" x 5 feet.
Nutes:
Using Grow More nutes starting very diluted. 16-16-16, Jump Start, and Maxi-Cal.
Also using rain water I gathered in my rain barrel.

4" Ventec inline pulling exhaust
4" S&P TD-100 pushing at intake
Filter:
Phresh 4" x 12" carbon

(53 posts)What would it cost me, at a minimum to maintain a small grow?
So I can set aside some money to put together one at my shed - just have to figure out how to feed electricity there.
For around 5 to 6 hundred you could have a good system for a small grow. Including venting, light, etc..
Probably cheaper. Search online. They have tent kits available also.

(46,585 posts)My dispensary, the same place that hosted the Girl Scouts selling cookies outside, has all kinds of activities and special deals planned. My son is going to Hippie Hill here in SF too for the annual smoke-a-thon.

(26,219 posts)Thanks for sharing your garden. I have this bookmarked for the day our legislators wake the fuck up and smell the 21st century and we will actually be able to grow our own. I have volumes of notes on setups, but none as clear and concise as what you have documented. Thank you!
