Using the bending techniques employed I tripled my bud output.

I use the LST (low stress training) in a compact area it is a great way to get much more.
Don't know about auto flowering tho I think they have ways to do it.

I have a 4x4x7 grow tent. Good way to keep equal light on the plants for uniform bud growth. Plus make the plants fit into the height space I have.

especially Autoflowers and Mephisto Genetics... they're new to me. Roots soil is the best, in my opinion.

This will be my first try with it. Do you use the Original formula? Do you amend it? Do you grow autos in it?

Lots of good reviews with people using Roots Organics soil and a Kind Soil combo.

and when we transplant, we use mix in some Roots Greenfields with nutrients. Water runs right though the Greenfields, so that's why we mix it. Never have tried Kind Soil and I just learned about autos from you.. always something new.. also the seed place. wow.

I like autos because I don't need to be tied down to a long 4 or 5 month grow and autos produce enough for me.
My last grow was done in 53 days from seed.

Being in Colorado, with legal weed getting cheaper every day, we considered giving up growing, but seed to flower in 60 days or less is right up our ally and I enjoy growing. We're using florescent lights and I'd like to make the investment into LED. Do you think it's worth it?

My opinion is that good LED lights are pretty expensive. There are many cheap ones on the market like Mars. I had a Mars Hydro II 900W. The rating was deceiving as it drew about 400 watts from the wall. I'd stay away from cheap Chinese lights.

I have made the switch to LEC and I'm not looking back. I think the light spectrum and intensity are fantastic with the LEC. See my OP for a link. It does get hotter than even COB LED lighting I believe but not as hot as HPS/MH bulbs.

in fact all your links. Thanks. We're finishing our grow now, with 5 more to harvest. Giving everything a good cleaning and starting over in a couple of months with autoflower as our guide. I'll keep you posted. I'd love to start in November, harvest in January, and hit the road for warmer climates.

They do need less nutrients and no topping. They go so fast don't slow them with topping it'll hurt the yield.

Had to do with the latest change in laws to help out Microsoft and their other corporate donors that are moving into the field. I guess the state figures it can get fees from black and poor folks in jail, the rest can pay their usurious taxes.

These bastards hurt a lot of people, blocked access to their meds and are still arresting black folks in Seattle.

It won't be forgotten when they send out the ballots. Somebody asked how best to get votes the other day. The answer is always the same - quit asking for help and start offering some.

Here in Eugene, so many people are growing in their back yards that they are giving the stuff away. Hard to find enough takers - everybody already has all they can handle. Just like zucchini - leave a bag on the porch, ring the doorbell and run away. And don't leave your car with the windows down. Somebody riding by on a bike will toss a bag in.

Turned out great anyway. 3X3X7 crooked wood box. Cheap LED and left it on 24,7 begining to end. 2 plants and about 2 years worth of strong meds.

I am working on getting it bigger, turn it into an additional income stream.

They will eat almost anything that was organic to start with, though onions, citrus, and meat should not be fed indoors - takes too long to rot. Produce stands and stores throw enough away for most small growers, and they like USED coffee gtrounds. You can buy worm food from purina, which is mostly corn flour,calcium, some vitamins, ground up very fine, not very expensive, for a boost.

I collect, microwave, and grind up eggshells to a find powder, that provides them with grit to grind their food. Aged horse manure - so they don't burn up - provides not only bedding but food, and is free in many places.

Any rinds of cantaloupe, watermelon, leaves, etc go into a bag and are frozen for a few days, then either buried (reduces smell) or put out in a compost pile - I then feed finished compost to the bin, and they break it down and turn it into useful fertilizer and humus.

I too was giving away some flower, but this also makes a timely gift, one more thing they don't have to buy. Especially here, as growing has become a much more reliable way of getting your meds. So until the fascists are out of power at the state level, the fact that they can't check every closet in the state every 4 months works to ones advantage, one I have used for over 40 years.

I changed it up a bit from my original specs. I'm didn't use the T5HO lights. Went straight for the LEC.

I added the humidifier. Normally not needed but we've hit a dry spell.

Final total about 20 ounces or 1.8 grams per watt of light (315W).
This is my third grow...I think I'm getting the hang of this!
