Bernie Sanders: Bring on billionaire Michael Bloomberg

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, who has rallied against the outsize political influence of billionaires from the outset of his upstart campaign, said Sunday that he would welcome the chance to run against two of them in the fall.

(snip)
“My reaction is, if Donald Trump wins and Mr. Bloomberg gets in, you’re going to have two multibillionaires running for president of the United States against me,” Sanders told host Chuck Todd. “And I think the American people do not want to see our nation move toward an oligarchy, where billionaires control the political process. I think we’ll win that election.”

Sanders, of course, would first have to get past Hillary Clinton in the contest for the Democratic nomination before such a race could take shape.

Sanders appeared on “Meet the Press” from Iowa, where he has a full day of campaign events planned and is locked in a tight race with the former secretary of state.

financial meltdown, instead saying things (now) like there is enough blamed to go around and we shouldn't revisit it.

Not long ago, he was clearly saying it wasn't the banksters' fault. (He is quite liberal in some ways but in other ways, his heart is still with the billionaire class and what can keep him in the money.)

His running would be a great platform for Bernie's focus on BREAKING UP THE *&^%$ TOO BIG TO FAIL BANKS!!!! And holding the greedy lawbreakers responsible. (Not one of those responsible for the financial meltdown, for lying to consumers, for promoting sub-prime mortgages, for forging mortgage agreements, etc., went to jail. I bet Bernie would LOVE to ask Bloomberg about that!)

Go, Bernie!

telling it like it is. This comment shows what a great candidate Bernie is and just how much strength he has in his convictions. That's why we the people have his back.

It would be far easier for Sanders to run against the whole ice $helf.
