It is surprisingly effective . Principled people think twice and make the reasonable choice on behalf of the organizations they head.

It won't amount to enthusiasm though.

Threats can secure obedience, but not loyalty or respect. Eventually, the threaten can either turn on the bullies or walk away. Short term gain, long term problems.

It's Bernie stealing the show going for the "unwashed masses" ... and there is an almost endless amount of them...of all shapes, creeds, races, gender, et al. He's earning their votes.
